Today Amazon's algorithm seems to be price matching / price beating Myer's price errors. e.g. bought Bose Bass Module 500 earlier for $389 from Amazon.

Back to this deal, it's an excellent Mesh WiFi system, limited time deal from Amazon, cheaper than Myer's price error.

Note: UK stock.

    More. UK. Routers.

    Sigh.

  • More telecom doesn't even have this on its compatible list. Damn.

Deco is compatible with all ISPs.

UK frequencies obviously aren’t licensed in Australia, so using these routers is like operating your own pirate radio station. It sure feels good to be a rebel pushing society’s boundaries

I just bought the deco X95 units (box of 2 units) from umart. These are pretty good but as mentioned above….. please stop posting UK modems and routers. They are nothing but a pain in the butt when it comes to connections. Australia does NOT support their frequencies and whoever buys them, not knowing that, will have a bloody headache to deal with.

    • There is a lot of talk lately about UK wireless frequencies and lower power compared to AU. Does anyone have a handy link with a comparison or explanation/tests?

Looking at Wikipedia, seems UK are allowed more frequencies than AU in the 5GHz spectrum. There is a small range reserved for weather radars in AU which is capped at 1000mW in UK. The rest seem to overlap. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels.

Comparing AU and UK sources citing local regulation, seems the EIRP for wireless is pretty much the same for UNII1, 2, 2e and 3 for both countries. Source: https://wifiwizardofoz.com/wp-content/uploads/australian_802… and https://www.msdist.co.uk/support/spectrum.

If there are any regulation, health or safety concerns, one would think these won’t be allowed to be imported in AU?

      Thank you.

I’ve lost count of the times my AliExpress shopping trolley flashes red with “Nice try — shipping this to Australia is totally like, a grey area. Sorry about this, but it’s for your own good.” I wish the bloody government would stay out of our business, and let us OzBargain in peace
