[iOS] F1TV PRO Annual Subscription for €18.84 (~A$29.55) @ F1TV (Turkey VPN & AppleID Required)

562

F1TV PRO Annual subscription in Turkey is 349TL (€18.84).

This post is majority a copy-pasta from reddit.. but it still works.

This is cheap, even though unfortunately I missed the discounts. Only problem is; people were struggling to pay without a Turkish credit card… I can confirm Gift Card works flawlessly.

Instructions below if required:

On PC or Mac:

1./ Activate VPN for Turkey (I use NordVPN).

2./ In a browser, create new Apple ID for Turkish App Store at http://appleid.apple.com/ using random Turkish street address. I used my regular Australian mobile
number (not Turkish) for the verification.

3./ In a browser, make a new F1TV account at https://f1tv.formula1.com.
For both I use [email protected] to make the account (where my usual email address is [email protected]) to avoid having to setup a new
email account. GMail ignores everything after a “+”, and it works fine for logging in.

4./ Buy 350TL worth of gift cards (you can choose the site yourself).

G2A,ENEBA. SEAGM, TURGAME,MTCGAME,OFFGAMERS

On iPhone:

5./ Activate VPN for Turkey (I use SmartDNSProxy).

6./ Delete existing F1TV app. Go to App Store, log out, and log into your “Turkish” account, download F1TV app.

7./ Add your new gift card(s) to your account. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201209

8./ Subscribe, in the F1TV app (it will use your gift cards, and not ask for any credit card).

You are done! To watch on your device (e.g. AppleTV):

9./ No need to reinstall the app, or use a VPN. Just log out, and log into your “Turkish account”.

10./ Watch F1 for a year for €18.84, less than one month of Kayo

Was there a way to do it for Android users?

  • +3

What is the broadcast quality? Can't see on the Aussie site as it doesn't want to tell me about live races.

    • 1080P. You can choose between the international and Sky feeds

      • +7

What's the bitrate? Kayo's bitrate for 1080p streams has dropped significantly in the last couple of months.

      • Does the sky feed mean sky commentators will do the talking?

        • -1

          Unfortunately, yes.

          • +2

@GregRust: Last week I would have agreed, but after having listened to Will Buxton, Jolyon Palmer and Alex Jacques talking shit for large parts of the past three days, I've a new found appreciation for Sky's team.

    • -5

Thanks, I'd rather just get legit.

      I see 34.99 a year, any reason?

      • +24

You can't watch F1 races in Australia with that subscription don't be fooled. F1TV Pro only which is unavailable in Australia.

        • -4

I know what it is. I already have Kayo. No desire to cancel it.

          • +3

@scuderiarmani: Yea they're supposed to be adding F1TV Pro features to Kayo this year. So you're all good. No need for any extra subscriptions.

        • What if you add the Turkish Apple ID as a separate user on an Apple TV? Would it detect the App Store settings, or would it look at the location/IP?

I'm guessing the only way it'd work is watching via VPN.

      • +1

34.99 'legit' is for F1TV not F1TV Pro.

F1 TV Pro has the races live, F1TV is pointless in that regard - your only 'legit' choice is Foxtel/Kayo as F1TV Pro isnt on offer in Australia due to Murdoch.

For someone who only had subscribed to Kayo for F1, I think the pricing is ridiculous and arent going to renew this year on principle.

    • +3

That's only live timings and delayed race replays.

    • +21

The Australian one isn't the pro one - you can't get access to live races because Murdoch.

      • Fair enough then, I didn't know that.

      • +1

You might need to fix your description

F1TV Annual subscription in Turkey is 349TL (€18.84)

        F1TV PRO

    • That's not F1TV Pro you can't watch F1 with that subscription. We aren't able to get the full Pro subscription in Australia as Foxtel owns the rights and shows it on Kayo/Foxtel only.

    • F1TV<>F1TVPro.

You cant buy F1 TV Pro in austrlaia, you have to subscribe to foxtel/kayo to see the races (barring the melbourne race which AFAIK is broadcast on 10 or something)

  • +3

Is it still limited to just limitings and playback? We'd still have to use a VPN to watch live races on F1TV right?

  • +19

Won't be the same this year without the GOAT 🐐

    • +40

I know, I’ll miss Latifi too

    • +4

"Sometimes it was technical, sometimes the engine, sometimes Latifi" - Fred Vasseur

  • VPN isn’t required for signing up.

  • +1

Or use https://www.servustv.com/ for free - you might have to VPN to Austria or Germany but they also have Superbikes for free and lots more

    • is it austrian/german commentary? Do they have motogp?

      • +1

English and yes (like superbikes from Australia are on now …)

    • does this broadcast all of the races during the season and are there ads?

    • Nice ! Thanks

  • +3

I've followed the instructions but F1 TV app I downloaded from the Apple Store says TL1299.99 per year - I only bought and loaded TL350 into my itunes account

    • Try to hard reset phone or use restore purchases.

    • +2

Also only seeing TL1299.99… tried the options given but it just stays at that price.

      • The other way to really find out if TRY349 plan is available, is to subscribe to TV access monthly pass which is TRY7.99 (A$0.63) and then in subscription > see plans > check if TRY349 plan is there and switch (you will get your TRY7.99 (A$0.63) refunded after switching plan). Otherwise it’s not available.

    • +1

Also same, have tried restarting phone.

    • Same with me, can't get it to show the 349TL price

  • +1

Lot of streaming companies are going to start trialling stuff in Turkey I think

  • +4

    No Latifi, no deal !

    😝😝😝

    • +3

Sorry, went the wrong way. Must have been something with the car…

  • What’s the trick for Spotify?

  • -1

Is there any cheap subscription like this available for watching Cricket?

  • -8

There's so much content available these days it's a wonder anyone has time to watch motorsport live and pay for it.

    • It's 20something races a year. If you skip the Fri and Sat sessions and just watch the race, it's ~2 hours every other week with a long break in between.

      • +1

Yeah as far as sports go I like the ratio of hours vs drama

Hockey is way down the other end sadly, far too many matches to keep up and have a life

        • +1

Same with NBA, I maybe catch 2-3 games a week. The All Star game was rubbish; like watching randos throw up 3s at the park, or try to dunk and fall over.

Edit: Nuggets are a team I'd make time to watch, if that;s what your username is referring to

          • +1

@rosebank: No, just a chicken nugget obsession 😅

            • +1

@Nuggets: The star player for Denver also like chicken nuggets

    • +1

You have better things to do late night Sunday?

      I've followed F1 since the 80s. Hardly a problem….

      • Sleep.

Hate that start time was pushed back by an hour recently. 10 - 12 is infinitely better than 11 - 1. Might have to move to WA

        • Yeah agreed, I enjoyed the earlier starts. Blame the new American owners.

I'll generally watch the start and see if it's panning out to be good. If not, to bed and see the rest later.

          • @scuderiarmani: Same, with some exceptions. I always skip Monaco and I always watch all of Spa. It’s race track porn.

  • +4

I think the offer has ended in Turkey, It is showing 1299 Lira for me now, reddit thread says its ended. Not sure

    • +1

      F@#$ sakes

    • +2

Agree. Completed all steps but pricing is now 52 euro

  • +1

Can you watch via New Zealand VPN after turkey sign up?

  • +4

You won’t be able to stream races with F1 TV Pro without VPN.

  • Reddit link please if possible

  • Hopefully this discount still works or can be used with a different currency. I travel a lot with work, so having decent access to f1 streams is a huge plus.

  • -1

RBR, MV, Calling it now, hope I'm wrong!

    I'll stick with RU ;-)

  • +1

So you need to be connected via VPN to Turkey to watch the app?

    • +1

Yes, you run a vpn and set it to turkey.

      • Ah screw that.

        • +2

Yeah im struggling with it too, its bad enough I have to stay up at horrible hours, have to listen to crofty and danny ric is out…..

…to faff around with VPNs to boot…..

  • Yeah i just tried this and it's 1299.99lira = $100+Aud
