Oh man. Are you ok? I've never seen someone stretch quite like that. You should take it easy. Could have done some serious damage.
Brand new is $1698
The difference with AW3423DW is support AMD FreeSync™ Premium ProYou can get it new for $1,531

But think I will go with the refurb now… saves $172
I’d be a bit cautious with the refurbs. If they are anything like the replacements people have been getting for burn in, you’ll likely notice some issues with them and have to keep returning till you get an acceptable one. It’s luck of the draw
Figured there is a lottery buying new aswell
Very quick for the DWF version to hit the refurb sale.
lots of ppl do returns in first 30 days for no reason, they might not like wide screen or flickering
its a pretty safe bet buying these now as they are only few months old at worst
This year got some crazy displays based on ces. Wait.
Maybe they just have some serious problems to deal with and they couldn't cope. 🙃
except every display is just higher priced than the previous.
i think there's now ~3 other monitors using this OLED panel, all more expensive than the DW/F.
???
yeah nothing coming this year that will beat this one, you can get the samsung one which is pricier for the same panel, or LG which is 240 hz but worst quality
i think you will need to wait 2 years at least to get something better and it wont be that much in the end , maybe just cheaper hopefully
Does anyone know if this monitor work with Gsync and HDR activated at the same time (aka Gsync Ultimate) or is it one or the other since this doesn't have a Gsync module?
It does work, just lacks the hardware GSync module which includes variable overdrive (irrelevant for OLEDs) and better LFC…
I'm not an owner of this model, but I have read that buyers have been experiencing a number of problems with this model that were not present on the AW3423DW. I encourage everyone to do their own research and not blindly accept Dell's marketing that this is the same thing without the G-sync module, as there seem to be many more differences than that in how it behaves.
What problems have you read about?
I have the DW model but was considering changing to the DWF because the DW will have random single frame black flickering which seems attributed to the GSYNC module.the flicker is an oled thing apparently, or OLED and Nvidia - I cant find online anyone with AMD to have it but could be wrong
Do you know where you read about this? There are different flickering issues on other OLED screens that seem to be a different cause. The single black frame flicker on this monitor is almost like a firmware issue when an incorrect/unexpected amount of frames are received by the GSYNC module.
@fredskis: just on reditt, dwf doesn't have gsync , lots of ppl complain about flickering in menu, games not so much as high frames remove it but static images flicker apparently, I haven't seen it but might just not be sensitive to it or lucky.
I have read that it cannot do 10-bit colour at or above 144 Hz, for example, which is not clearly advertised. A lot of people have reported quality control issues but those are anecdotal.
Correct, either 10-bit at 144Hz or 8-bit at 175Hz.
I've loaded up test patterns and honestly I needed to look very closely and put my face almost up to the monitor to be able to tell the difference:
https://www.eizo-apac.com/support-service/tech-library/gener…Maybe you need to be in the 1% to be able to notice with the naked eye from a regular distance or it might matter more if you're working in a relevant industry.
That sound's very disruptive. I was hoping to pick up an oled monitor after hearing that the subpixel layout isn't a huge issue with text. That sounds like a Worse problem though honestly? Is it frequent?
I recently upgraded from a 3070 to a 4080 and I must say I have seen it maybe 3 times since (in two weeks). It was probably every 20 minutes or so before on the 3070.
I remember reading somewhere that the cause seemed related to lower frame rates being pushed to the monitor and something screwing around with the GSYNC module, hence me wanting the DWF now that it's out since I haven't seen any similar reports on it.It seems to line up with that as I see it a lot more when I'm using my work laptop with it - this is connected via a dock via HDMI (max 100Hz) and driven by Intel iGPU.
@fredskis: Late reply sorry.
Thanks for all the info. I was thinking about grabbing a woled tv (either the 42 inch c2 or 55 cs) and trying that out. I do like the dell support and warranty covering burn in and the qd oled higher colour gamut and brightness seems like it would be a good addition.
The new 2023 oleds look pretty damn good for woled and qd types so maybe waiting for those and hoping they aren't as much as the GPU is the other option.
i have this and its flawless , best money ever spend on a computer part
Yeah, same here. Have had my DWF for a short while and very happy with it, including working from home.
I’m happy I haven’t experienced any of the things people mention.
@BillyG687 how is this for working form home? any issues with Text clarity? alot of review show zoomed in text, keen to get some real world truths.
Ok, pulled the trigger. Hopefully no issues with the refurb, but my experience with Dell in this department has been quite good.
Any further discount codes?
I tried the AUAFFILIATES5, and the K-12 coupon and both dont work.
Dell outlet doesn't seem to take the same codes as the Dell store.
Advice needed on monitor setup, I have limited space on my desk, I am running a laptop to power it so I have a extra screen already, my options are either:
This monitor by itself + my laptop screen on the left
A 27' QHD 240hz (so AW2721D or something similiar) on the centre + a 1080p 144hz (just since i cant get used to 60hz anymore) in vertical orientation to the right, laptop still on the left.
I already know have enough space for the second set up (already have a 27' in place but planning on getting something better). but not sure if the first option would be better? Its more expensive but again ive never tried an ultrawide esp not an oled screen to know if its worth the premium or if it would fit on my desk nicely.
I am a 1 screen dood, keep the setup clean. So my advice is as less screens as possible
But i dont think my advice will help you lol
In USA, the price dropped to US $654 for the refurbished model. That's about AUD $950.
Makes this "$1359" price quite ordinary in comparison.

interesting, might be worth waiting bit longer
90 day vs 3 year warranty tho
oh wow that is a big difference
I managed to pick up a AW3423DWF monitor new two days ago in chat with the dell advisor Sachin for $1433.62 including shipping
Oh wow, i would like to do the same… any advice how you got such a good price?
Hey @Toxictimbo
Dell chat said they will do the same price for me, if I quote your order number….If you're OK to share, could you DM me please?
Hey Mate, any change of that Order number?
Received mine. Looked brand new. Box looked like it had been opened, but no signs it had even been taken out.
Great monitor. Very happy with it.
Anyone got any codes or tips for getting a lower price?
And is it bad not having the gsync module?
Nevermind on that,
Got the AW3423DWF for $1491.03 Shipped by asking for a quote. Absolutely could not go further sadly, but amazing monitor for the price still.
