How they will validate?
My sis bought a laptop from Lenovo Student Portal - she is a full time student but there was no validation process (if I can recall correctly)
they will not validate… got e320 few month ago, after student discount, cashback and gst return, the i3 model cost me like $310 :))
Not bad; this CPU has the HD3000 integrated graphics, which is the one that is usually in the i7 models.

Intel 120GB SSD ( upgrade for $39 ) … awesome deal once you get that.
Thats awesome . Lenovo or any brand for that matter ususlly charge at least double the going rate for a hard drive upgrade . Maybe the price of SSD's really are about to plummet .
actually I think thats now the market rate for the price difference between hdd and ssd anyways.
320gb = $70
120gb ssd = 100 (netplus special just below this post)
lenovo is charging you $9 to install it lol.
All of the 'i' range have HD 3000 graphics. i3, i5 & i7. (second gen)
uhm no, that's not how it works. For example, see http://ark.intel.com/products/52213/
Second generation processors have HD 2000 as a base, with the higher-end (e.g. top-end i3, top-end i7) having HD 3000 graphics.
You are confused with second-generations having a "2" in front of the CPU model number.
Bought one last year and sold it, could not use the awful trackpad.
Not bad once you get used to it.
Real ThinkPad users use that pointy stick thing :)
I am so happy to hear someone else had the same issue with the trackpad and sold it off as a result.
I think it was that purchase which has now made me think about OzBargain inspired purchases rather than impulse buy (so I guess it is a deal that keeps on saving me money).
Also, I believe as usual they have the 1$ cases or 85c for the one I looked at.
edit: "when you purchase ThinkPad Edge E320/ E520 laptops with worth of $599 or more."
Additionally, I looked at the "e320 enhanced" and the SSD was only 28$ extra :D
imho, the "enhanced" is a slightly better deal if you decide for the i5 upgrade. For an identical spec'ed model the enhanced came out 30$ cheaper with a free carry bag. Total: $544
Nice. Cheap SSD upgrade.
