That looks great
Yeah it turned out pretty good ;)
How does this stuff compare to esun pla +?
This brand came with a printer I bought and after switching to eSUN, I realised how bad it was. Would gladly spend $10 more for eSUN.
However the above image posted looks great. So maybe mine had moisture or something.
what problems did you have? I've had none. But even the shitty kogan pla worked for me without issues.
I have to agree with gladly spending $10 more for esun. I found this prone to curling on overhangs that I didn't get with esun.
It very well could be that my printer needs dialling in further but again I don't get these problems with esun. I found I could mitigate it by using extra supports so the roll is still usable but I won't be buying any more of it.
@uhohpotato: I'll have to check this. Are you using stock part cooling or upgraded? I'm just about to upgrade it though I probably should just leave things alone if they work.
It's getting harder to get good prices on eSUN. I'm pretty sure eSUN is overrated relative to other brands but it's hard to break the bias when its so difficult/impossible to find good reliable reviews of most other budget brands.
Sunlu is apparently an acceptable budget alternative, but their local color variety sucks.
Voxelab seems to be similar or slightly inferior, depending who you ask. This ~$22/kg (PLA) and ~$25/kg (PETG) sale pricing occurs quite regularly, I think its probably justifiable for a single roll but its not a great price for a bulk purchase.
Personally I just bought some Flashforge filament from flashforge_3d_world on Ebay last night. Flashforge and Voxelab is the same company and I believe their filament comes from a Chinese supplier, but I have no idea if their Flashforge and Voxelab branded filaments come off the same production line. Using a 15% discount code that expired last night, together with the "buy more and save" discount, it worked out at $18.99/kg + free shipping for 4KG PETG and 1KG PLA all in different selectable colors… given I was primarily buying PETG it was a lot cheaper than Amazon.
eSun PETG $23.96

Good deal - used the blue VOXELAB PLA Pro a few weeks ago on my boys Worker Nightingale foam dart blaster:
