Doesn't every company?
You can also get 180 free trial using VPN (germany) - https://www.bitdefender.de/media/html/consumer/new/get-your-….
I was looking at this deal before using the trial. Do we just provide any U.S address in order to complete the order?Link does not exist.. 404 not found!
Because you did not VPN from germany. If you VPN from Germany it gives you a proper page for 180 days. Thanks for the NEG when you have not followed instructions
works fine if VPN'd from germany.
Snippet from their page once you VPN
"Ressourcenschonende Sicherheit, die Bedrohungen keine Chance lässt.
Testen Sie Bitdefender KOSTENLOS mit dem exklusiven IMTEST-Angebot – 180 Tage anstatt nur 30!"or translated
"Resource-saving security that doesn't give threats a chance.
Try Bitdefender FREE with the exclusive IMTEST offer - 180 days instead of 30!"
For those who couldn't be bothered installing a VPN you can also get perpetual free trials by uninstalling, reinstalling, and using a new email address/fake name on their US site. It only takes a few minutes (every 90 days I think it is).
Thanks purchased $38AUD. Chose a random U.S address. It provided a shipping email. Received digital download via email. Activated and working. $19 per year for 5 devices is cheap as chips. Bitdefender ranked #1 for 2022 in AV-COMPARATIVES.ORG.
just use windows defender, unless your a creep
I assume its 2yrs starts 1st time you activate?
Yes that's correct.
Can you stack it an existing licence for the same product? I have 3 months left on my current 5 licence /2 year Total Security.
Yes you can, but from memory the limit is 5 years unless you contact support to add it.
good deal , got the 10 devices 2 years for ~52 AUD from https://www.dealarious.com/coupon/bitdefender-total-security…
The Bitdefender family pack (15 devices 2 years) is ~$48 AUD with code CPSECUR4 https://www.newegg.com/bitdefender-family-pack-2019-2-year-u…
Worked. Got the code within 5 mins of order. Used US address as credit card billing and shipping address and it still worked.
I'm still waiting after 3 hours - Order Status says "In Processing".
I used a US billing address but paid via my normal Paypal account. Does anyone know if there would there be an issue with this?Shouldn't be an issue. Took approximately 30 mins for mine to arrive doing the same.
Maybe US folks went to sleep.
I am in the same boat, any luck?
I just spoke to one of their Live Chat agents and was advised that I would receive the email with the code tomorrow (US Pacific TIme).
"This is the digital order so the processing time is 1 business day if the order is placed on weekends".Will patiently wait another 24 hours.
Is the activation code you got the one you can use to activate later? I've got about 100 days left on my 15 devices version…
Should be fine, I'd email or get in their live chat to confirm. They usually prety helpful.
Mine old was 5 devices and new was 5 devices. Whn I registered it asked me if I want this as a new subscription starting today OR if I wanted to extend the older version. I chose extend. Not sure about 15 vs 5.
Ended up buying the Family pack 15 devices again so it can just be topped up from my current Family pack 15 subscription. I thought I had Total Security 15 devices….
Received an email from Newegg with the activation code within 5 mins. Awesome.
It is the code I can activate later. I remember contacting cleverbridge?, mob I bought it from last time I was coming from a 5 device total security to Family version. I think from memory, they said I had 2 years to activate the code. All good. Cheers for the replies.@Jubei: When you topped up your 5 device did your subscription automatically extend your 5 device to a 15 device? Did it extend the total time also?
@R3XNebular: No, I was told I had to wait until my 5 device subscription ran out before activating the 15 devices sub.
Looks like a good deal, although in my view, Microsoft Defender is more than sufficient virus protection in the current era. Aside from being free, it has optimised integration with Windows, good performance, and doesn't nag you.
Some of the other features are better handled by other services. Phishing protection is built-in to Chrome, anti-spam is dealt with by any reasonable email service, and firewalls serve no real purpose these days as the default Windows Firewall rules are sufficient.
Actually, the only time my father has downloaded a virus it was blocked by Chrome before AV could have a look.
It's a much better era to be online than 2005.
I agree sufficient if you don't sail the seven seas which I do once in a while…
Issue is av-comparatives has windows defender performance lacking in comparison to bit defender on two seperate tests in April and October.
https://www.av-comparatives.org/tests/summary-report-2022/Windows Defender causes slow First Run of file copying, Archiving/Unarchiving and Installing Applications

Is the code still working for anyone? Can't apply the promo at checkout
a) Install a free VPN
b) Set it to Germany
c) Go to https://www.guerrillamail.com to get/copy a temporary email address (and leave the page open)
d) As R3XNebular said here… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13399183/redir - go to https://www.bitdefender.de/media/html/consumer/new/get-your-… and register using the email address from point c. If it doesn't accept it go back to point c and create a new email address using a different "@.com" until it does
e) Go back to guerrillamail tab/window, scroll down to see the inbox, click on email from bitdefender and click to verify email address and finish install
i have a hunch these av companies prob make no money at all in the consumer space and are all in enterprise market
