  • The range of restaurants on DoorDash in SA seems to have really dropped off this year, has it been the same in other states?

    • nope, other states are more populated, it's actually growing.

      • Interesting. Perhaps it’s just my local area. UE seems to be the leader here.

        • could be that, or people moving away from SA and going to major cities like sydney and melbourne.

          • @Hugh G Rection: Logic is strong with this one^

            • @astro1423: here is some logic for you:

South Australia’s density is 1.62 people per kilometer, which is ranking 6th most populated state in Australia. SA is one of the least densely populated states in the world.

              *mic drop

              • @Hugh G Rection: Triggered much - Probably nothing to do with commissions and driver availability in that area

                • @astro1423: not triggered at all, just sharing facts because it seems that you are ignorant to the situation.

                  let's try simple logic.

you are going to start a restaurant, what state are you going to have it?

are you going to open up where there isn't a lot of people (SA), or where there is a lot of people (NSW)?

                • @astro1423: Hadn't intended to start an argument about population and migrating but yeah i would tend to agree with your theory more because if i open UberEats, there's an abundance of options available compared to DoorDash. It's not like Adelaide only has a couple of restaurants to service 1.3m people 🤨

I was thinking perhaps many contracts with DoorDash ended at the end of 2022 and restaurants figured it wasn't worth renewing and would rather get screwed by the one company.

    • Given Door Dash have abandoned their customer service, wouldnt surprise me if they've also gone downhill on the restaurant side and restaurants are also leaving.

      Dieing platform in Australia.

      • Agree on their CS, used to be very excellent based on my own experiences but definitely gone the way of UE lately and worse probably

  • What is this crock, where is the westpac extra?

  • can these ebay gift cards be combined with currently running coupon codes eg:SNSPLUSF
Edit: answer seems yes from previous posts' comments

Can you purchase multiple cards at the increased rate?

    • +2

Yes, if you click on the "show price after cashback" when you're purchasing, if you added 10 cards for example, it will show you the total cashback you will get for the 10 cards.

  • Better than a kick in the teeth, but the denomination is a bit high! It voids you using westpac offers (likely 10% in itself) unless your purchase is over $100..

  • Tried to purchase but they don't accept Amex. Not worth it with for me with a non Amex.

    • Why not worth it?

      • +1

5% is already hardly worth it with eBay. With eBay you need to be careful as their balance checker isn't good - I don't think you can see history on it and sometimes it doesn't work. You need to watch out if any transactions are cancelled and refunded back to your card - it is difficult to check.

By purchasing gift cards on a Visa card earning 0.6 Qantas points per dollar, I would be missing out on the 1.25 Qantas points per dollar that I would normally get purchasing on eBay with Amex which brings the cashback down closer to 4% which just isn't worth it.

  • Despite my above comment, I decided to buy some eBay gift cards. And after an hour, they still haven't been issued and are showing pending. How long does it usually take?

    • Nevermind. They came a bit after an hour.

      • $90 was almost instant. $100 is like taking forever

  • Is anybody else getting the error when they try to link a card saying, "Multiple attempts to use this card have been tried …."? I'm getting this with cards that I've never used on shopback before.

    • No I haven't. But after using 8 cards, I got the error: Looks like you've used a lot of gift cards lately. You can redeem more gift cards in a couple of days.

I can't see the eBay one has it expired?

    • +2

I think so, I can't see it either.

      • +1

Ditto, showing only 2.5% on the $100 GC, like all other denominations. Also clicked on Promos link in case it may show up there, but none.

  • Wish these would go for a few days, I keep missing them

    • Same missed the eBay one
