Melbourne to Seoul, South Korea from $470 Return, Tokyo, Japan from $546 Return on Cebu Pacific [May-June] @ Beat That Flight

640

I don't think this is going to last for very long, given how few date combos at these prices I could find, and some started vanishing as I was tidying up.  So if you want it, I suggest jumping on it quickly.  Next cheapest is usually Philippine Airlines who come in around the mid 700s, have the same flight path and stopover airport as Cebu Pacific.

Airline: Cebu Pacific
From: Melbourne
To: Tokyo, Japan
Price: From $541. Return.
To: Seoul, South Korea
Price: From $470. Return.
Bags: carry-on included

Accommodation is also available in Tokyo from $21 a night

Examples to Tokyo:

Dates: 1 May 23 - 30 Jun 23

For comparison, the best I can find from Sydney is $743 return from 14-21 June.

Examples to Seoul:

Dates: 1 May 23 - 30 Jun 23

Accommodation in Seoul from $13 a night

    • +1

Not at that price, although they do fly that route :/

Best I can see from Sydney is $743 return from 14-21 June.

      • When does Adelaide get cheaper tickets again. Any idea?? I been holding out for a while now but prices seem not to have changed since borders open. $950+

  • Any seoul deals?

    • +2

actually…yes! I'm about to update my post.

      • Legend 👍

  • any cheap flights in the first week of May.. to anywhere??

    • +1

Still building this but you can test it out from Sydney - might help: https://www.beatthatflight.com.au/index.php/map-search/ - or alternatively, https://www.beatthatflight.com.au/index.php/flexisearch/ to get dates.

      • Very cool tools!

There is another tool I wish existed which is the ability to start with a destination and see which airlines fly direct there. Twice now I have had a destination on the other side of the world and wanted to see the options for stop overs but found no easy way to see which airlines fly into the destination.

        • you can do a search for the dates you want, say May 26 to June 03, and then click the filters menu and expand airlines to see all the airlines.

To see direct ones, at the top of the filters you can choose # of connections, so select direct only.

          Hope that helps!

          • @beatthatflight: If I understand what you are saying, that will only works for A -> B. I want a search where I can look for X -> B (where X is anywhere) with the understanding that I can then either book a separate ticket for A -> X or then book a multi-city A -> X -> B.

      • Thanks. Bookmarked.

  • anything from sydney to Korea in Sept-October?

    Adelaide forever missing out :(

  • Hey OP,
Is there anything from Adelaide to Seoul?

    • Not with this airline, sorry. But you can always do a search for your dates on the website!

For this price I would almost be willing to cop a stopover in the worst airport in East Asia.

    • But it's not in East Asia so you'll be right.

      • Where is the Philippines then? Looked at a map recently?

        • It's Southeast Asia. Looked at a map recently?

  • Just tested this using the links in the description.
Melb to Tokyo on May 24 to June 7 is showing $700+.
    Am I doing something wrong?

    • +1

Limited seats, as per the description, so some dates will start vanishing as they're booked out :/

    • +1

      Same , all + 800

    @OP any from Brisbane please?

    • Not with this airline, sorry. But you can always do a search for your dates on the website!

  • There is direct flights from melb to seoul now?

  • +3

Still waiting for direct flight deal from Melbourne to Tokyo because I will be travelling with an infant so try to avoid stop-over

  • Cebu Pacific? Indirect flights? that's a no from me dawg.

    • We don't have many options flying direct from Melbourne to Japan and Korea.

Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar mostly stop over in Sydney. And Cebuairline happens to be one of the cheaper option (albeit longer overall fly time)

There are some direct qantas/JAL flights but they are in high demand so often won't go on sale…

      • +1

Ugh I’m waiting for JAL ideally, they have the best service

    • Could be worse, we got put on hk express a few years ago, Japan to HK. Its like a mix of Karens diner and jetstar.

  • I miss those business direct flights from Melbourne to Tokyo pre covid times.

    • good old times…. I wonder when they will bring direct flights back to Melbourne. surely there is a demand for it :(

I was at Seoul for Christmas, absolutely love the place. I wish cities in Australia would open and be lively past 9pm.

Korean food is better in Adelaide than Seoul though just want to call that out.

    • I disagree with korean food better in Adelaide unless you can list a few places to beg to differ.
