    Decent.

but VERY bad support from BPC Tech.

They have ignored multiple emails from me, and keep lying to me about calling me back.

My laptop from them is brand new (since last December) but I'm having doubts about it and am wanting to discuss the issues with them.

      • +2

        Hi ram4ram,

Do let me apologies for your experience, would you mind sharing your order details with us and we will look into your RA case now?

        Sincerely,
        BPC Team

    • :D

  • Would this be any good for stable diffusion?

    • +6

AMD GPU so I'm going to say no on this one.
Edit* after having a looks online, seems like you can use AMD GPUs as of recently :D

    • +6

You essentially need an Nvidia GPU to use stable diffusion or most AI tools on windows. There are some hacks to get parts of it working with AMD, but as far as I know you won't get decent performance and probably won't get things like model finetuning working.

If you're on a budget the best option by far is the 3060 12gb (and make sure it's not the newer 8gb). The 12gb of vram is just enough to scrape across the line for textual inversion and even finetuning if you use the various memory optimizations. The next few models up actually have lower vram which is locking a lot of people out of being able to use these things.

      • good to know, now the question is how many people will buy the card pretending they will start to learn AI and use the card for gaming throughout its entire life.

    • Depends. For inferencing it will be slowish but certainly usable for screwing around. You could use it for training via LoRA (on linux at least).

But I wouldn't recommend it if its a priority for you, amd's software support is just bad, and everything is written with nvidia in mind - amd is a second class citizen.

I think this is a pretty fantastic deal considering the RX 6750 XT is about equivalent to the 3070/3070ti. Really makes me hurt after buying a 3060ti deal for over $1100 in October last year.

    • +1

Yeah, especially with the Ryzen for an extra +$69 it's great.

    • -3

isnt the 6750xt equivalent to 3060 Ti?

there no comparison of 6750xt vs 3060Ti on https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/, but if u compare 6750XT to 3060, 6750XT is 29% effective speed faster, 3060Ti to 3060, 3060Ti is 29% effective speed faster.

      if you comepare 6750Xt to 3070, 3070 is 7% faster, 6750XT to 3070Ti, 3070Ti is 23% faster.

If you comepare 3070Ti to 3060TI, 3070Ti is also 23% faster.

      So isnt 6750XT = 3060TI, not same at 3070/3070Ti

      • +14

Don't use use userbenchmark it's garbage, at 1440p its on par with an RTX 3070 on average: https://youtu.be/Lg-TcVrh8rA?t=586

Possibly even better since AMD cards improve a bit over time with driver updates.

      • +7

Remember that userbenchmark is heavily biased against AMD. Best to look at real benchmarks from places like hardware unboxed YouTube channel

      • +9

ya dont use userbenchmark ever again. the admin of the website is a huge fanboy
i like to use toms hardware gpu hierarchy
        https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

      • +1

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html, 6750xt is slightly faster than 3070 on average.

      • Its a GUIDE only as many of the PCs that are benched on the site that are on liquid nitrogen or extream high spec parts, skrew the results. Also BM are done usaly on new PCs being built by idiots so with MS Windows updated driver and not the better gaming one (done later by gamers) and lots of things like this, inc newer driver with optimisations. This effects RAEDON cards way more than nVidia too.

Also whomever writes the ending comments summarising the results has a serious hard anti AMD bent!

Upvote for smaller case than usual

    • Cheers :)!

  • +3

    Not bad at all.

    • Thank you :D

  • Nice, there was also a request to compete with the TF sub $1500 3070ti deal… Anything on that?
And the recent 3060ti looks very attractive too. Waiting for your version. Thanks for listening

    BPC vs Enigma PC

TechFast is out of the race

    • +2

It was heartening to see Enigma PC revise it's offering after robust ozbargain feedback, but let's see how they actually execute (build, deliver, deal with warranty claims) before we elevate them even above techfast. I wish them the best of course!

  • +1

Thanks OP, This is a pretty good one. Upvoted!
Hmm but I just bought one from EnigmaPC 2 hours ago.

    • Haha all good, just enjoy!

  • Anyone know if Asus PCE AX3000 wifi/bluetooth adapter is compatible to the AMD option with motherboard Gigabyte A520M ?

    • +1

Should be no problem at all.

      • Thanks! What is the estimated dispatch time?

  • +3

How much are these companies getting their graphics cards for? Can't even build them from parts for this price.

    • +2

And unlike techfast, for components from known brands as well.

You can look into out for the 6700xt on ebay, I've seen them for 400aud used constantly. Probably miner cards, but you can also possibly get a ryzen 5600 build instead.

  • +1

    Hello,

Does anyone how the AMD upgrade compares to the i5 upgrade (they're both CPUs but I can select both options?)

And if anyone has a general comparison (value/performance perspective) on the Enigma deal vs. this one, would be great to hear some thoughts!

    Thank you

  • +2

Slight edge to the 12400 vs Ryzen 5600 I believe they're pretty close

  • Really tempted to pull the trigger but going away for a week. What are the chances of this being delivered before next Thursday? I’m one of the few that would prefer it took a bit longer!

    • +1

      Hi hunter,

We expect the system to sell out this weekend XD but we can certainly try if you live in VIC NSW or SA! Our best record for the moment is the next day birthday order delivery

Let us know your order number once the order is placed!

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • Thanks for the response guys. I’ll have to wait for the next deal as I won’t be able to take delivery for 10 days or so. I’ll keep my eye out for your next deals!

        • +1

          NP! Next deal coming soon!

    Thanks!

BPC Tech warranty support… has been VERY DISAPPOINTING.

My new Nuc X15 / Kraken from this sale at the end of last year has been faulty.

Still waiting for them to respond back to my multiple emails, and "We'll call you"s. It's been weeks. And I pop them a reminder email / phone call every now and again. I am sick of it and am hesitant on using this new laptop.

    (Bought from this sale: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/736134)

    • +3

What was the problem with your laptop? I had a fault with mine and they gave me a replacement but it was very difficult to communicate with them too.

    • HP Victus 16” 3060 deal looking good

      Hi Ram4ram,

Sorry to hear about your experience, would you mind sharing your order number with us?

I will ask the operation manager himself to look into your case.

      Sincerely,
      BPC Team

      • Thank you. I received a call from you guys today.

        • Hi ram4ram,

No problem, if you need any assistance please don't hesitate to contact us!

  • Stick to 12100F or pay the $69 for the AMD 5600?

    • Pay the extra.

      • any particular reason? Seen 12100F perform better if not at the very least equal to the 5600

        • +3

Likely similar in single threaded tasks with Intel edging out occasionally however the extra cores IMO out weigh any benefit there for longevity and basically any task that requires all core loads.

          • +1

@ReaperX22: Might be worth it for people who do more than gaming, but I think if im solely gaming single thread is more important, as well as the MOBO being PCIE 4.0 for Intel. $70 on top of a budget build is also quite a lot, might be more logical to just pay the $110 for the 12400F to keep the PCIE 4, with a convincing 10-20% gaming bump ahead of the 5600 while having the same amount of cores.

    • +2

passmark = 12100f is less than 10% faster single threaded, but 5600 is 50% faster in multi.
AMD A520 mobo is only pcie3.0, intel is pcie4.0

  • How would this run connecting to a LG 55" tv?
Could I run red dead and warzone with similar specs to an Xbox Series X?

  • Thoughts on the amd mobo option? Doesn’t look like much vrm cooling, but the intel mobo looks very promising.

  • What ram is the 20$ 'RGB ram' refering to?

    • I'd also be interested in knowing what the 32GB upgrade includes.

  • I assume it comes with windows unactivated but loaded on?

    • Correct :)

  • +1

A gaming PC with… an i3 processor? that seems slow.

    what am I missing?

    • -1

      The naming can be confusing.

    • +3

      That's a strong i3. Apparently almost equivalent to the i9 9900k.

      • I'm told it gives epic Minesweeper and Solitaire performance.

  • Pulled the trigger - thanks :)

    • Did you go stock or get some upgrades?

      • I paid the $69 extra for the CPU upgrade since people above suggested it!

Other than that, stock. My only goal was to upgrade from an almost decade-old PC so that I can play some of the more recent games which have stockpiled - I'm not necessarily fussed with maxed graphics.

        • +1

Yep I would definitely upgrade the CPU too if I bought this, which I want to but cannot afford rn :P

          Enjoy dude!

    • +1

      Thanks for your business!

  • Hi OP, this may sound like a silly question but would this PC be well suited to pair with the Dell 34" curved gaming monitor? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/754802

    • +1

Should quite easily run e-sports games on that resolution and refresh rate, AAA games might struggle a little, but probably still 60 fps on low-med settings.

      • In other words the monitor is more capable than said PC except for older games?

        • +1

          Older games yes.

    • Good question!

Depending on what game you play, for QHD 144HZ monitors the PC should deliver stable 144hz with low-quality settings on general FPS games.

But with 3A, medium image quality, it might go from 60 -100hz.

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

  • Hi, any general guides for pricing on just the parts? My son would like to build his PC from scratch.

    • more expensive. I think even if you manage to source the exact same parts as what these guys are using, which are mostly budget parts, you'd likely price higher than them. For (almost but slightly better) 'equivalent' specs but slightly more branded parts, you're look at around $1300-$1400, if you son wants a pretty pc (nice case and RGB) probably add another $200.

    • Hi 1rover1,

For sure, we can manage that :)!

But keep in mind the PC assembled by yourself is not covered under our Gaming PC warranty, but individual parts are still effective for the manufacturer's warranty!

      Sincerely,
      BPC Team

      Hi ab c,

Thanks for the advice, we will update more motherboard details with the next build!

Do we have some white cases in stock or any model in mind :)?

And yes v1 is currently sold out but we will update V2 within the next few days!

      Sincerely,
      BPC Team

        • Hi ab c,

Would you mind leaving us your email via DM so we can generate the quote for you and also explain your questions through chat?

          Sincerely,
          BPC Team

      • Hi BPC what's the difference between V1 and this V2 model?

        • I believe the difference is the case.

V1. Deepcool MACUBE 110 Tempered Glass Mini Tower Micro-ATX Case - Black

V2. DarkFlash DLM21 MESH Black Micro ATX

          • @ab c: Almost certain they just did not update the website, the picture is also not showing the right case. Pretty sure the description on this page itself is the correct one with the new case, which also seems to be the only difference.

  • Can someone with experience speak to how significant an upgrade a 12400f or 5600 would be on more CPU heavy games?

Primarily wanting a machine to play Path of Exile for example.

    Thanks in advance :)

    • +1

May be go for 12400f or 5600: if budget permits ?

There are more considerations than that.

MOBO: search each option (ASUS PRIME H610M-E, & gigabyte a520m ds3h) & make sure it has good reviews, including VRM & heatsink. Read up on PCIe 3.0 vs 4.0…may be not much difference for RX 6700XT 12Gb ?

CASE: ideally 3 INtake fans, 1 exit fan & vent top. This case only has 1 exit fan, & may be upgrade for longevity ?

CPU: read widely, see link below.
Even if i3 12100F is ok for POE now @ ULTRA setting, have you consider,
      1.what games you'll play next year ?
2.what extra tasks you are likely to do while gaming, eg video, streaming etc ?
3.WindowsOS after Win11 will demand more CPU grunt.

      Good luck.

      https://www.google.com/search?q=i3+12100F+fps+Path+of+Exile+…

I3 12100F is similar to i5 8600K (link below), & you can gauge its grunt comparing to R5 5600-> https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/P8r3x46ksaXGfFN5Uxvmgi-102…
