    • It's $11/$16 in Sydney Metro for me.

I also could have sworn it was $159 yesterday as well. (I ended up writing a whole deal post then yeah nah'ing because it was only Centre before pressing submit yesterday arvo)

That's right. It dropped by $10 overnight. I had an alert setup on it through PC Part Picker.

        $9 for Brisbane Metro

hmm might be nice for moving steam games to …..

not for ps5 before people ask but cheap 2tb ssd.

Yep, Just bulk storage. Wouldn't want to run your OS or Console off this.

    • Agree, the TBW is good too. But slightly faster SSD will help with DirectStorage API in the future with shorter load times.

A budget Gen 3 drive may not be all that bad. It'll still wipe the floor with HDD's, and SATA SSD's will all load similarly because they're bandwidth constrained to 6gbit.

We'll have to see with future games that have longer load times to further those leads.

        • End of the day, if it's reading at least 1024MiB/s, it'll take no more than a minute to load 60GiB of data, which is rather more than most people have in RAM (including graphics), and less time than than gamers had to contend with when met with load screens back in the day.

Yes, it is slower than a faster drive (duh), but no, it is not slow in objective terms.
