      They can't 😳? It's not that hard.

        • -1

          Bad upbringing I guess.

    • +3

Probably more than those who can use one to find North. :)

      • Ah, ex boy scout?

        • Yes.

But I think I learned that one from the Bush Tucker Man…or one of those guys. :)

          • +3

@EightImmortals: I learnt my sense of direction from Russell Coight.

“My journey will take me north into northern Australia. Then over the border into the south of the Northern Territory. Then further west, just north-east of the south-eastern border of Western Australia”

            • @VerticallyIntegrated: Haha, nice. He popped up on YT a few months back so we ended up watching the whole lot.
Almost forgotten how to laugh for a while there but a delve into the old stuff seems to have cured that for now. :)

    • +1

      100?

  • +7

It's about time. Once you go BBC you can't help but go back for seconds.

    • +5

      I think that's a myth. That's what my wife tells me anyway.😉

      • +1

Watch it now that's a lot to take in.

      • Mine just tells me that my clock is a nice size

    • Don't be alarmed, but this is a 12" BWC

    • +1

      Seen better BBCs on ticktock

  • +2

Just add $2.00 to get from Amazon AU instead…

    • +1

      You sound ticked off.

    • I can't find this by searching the model number, could you link it please?

  • Does the second hand make that tick tick tick noise or is it quiet?

    • +3

From people's reviews but also from description it must be Quiet sweep second hand which means you don't hear that annoying tick tock

    • +9

      Only time will tell.

      • +3

        Give this fella a hand..

    • More of a tick tock

  • Amazon description it's not that good. At the beginning it says round black plastic frame and further down it says features a round black metal frame . Which one it is?

    • +4

      Seems like second hand information.

      • +1

From further google search it seems it's metal frame which it's better.

    • Have this clock on my wall. Frame and cover is 100% plastic.

  • If you prefer Arabic numerals and white, you can get five just as accurate here:

    https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/pluttis-wall-clock-low-voltage-…

    • +4

These Ikea one . I bought. It's horrible when it comes to time accuracy. I returned it and got another one and still has the same issue. That's the reason I was looking for another wall clock.

      • +1

I bought a very similar one to that Ikea model at a $2 shop, for $5.

The ticking is so loud, I can hear it in the lounge; the clock is in the kitchen.

It is a constant reminder of the seconds and minutes of my life ebbing away…………

    • -1

      Those are not Arabic numerals…

  • Great deal if it's made in Japan?

    • +4

From customer reviews it says that it's not made in Japan

      • About time you said it..

  • +10

    Lug to lug? 😂

  • +1

Apparently this glows in the dark as well.

  • +1

    Acrylic, Mineral or Sapphire Crystal?

  • +3

Gonna put this on a nato

    • slips right under the wrist

  • I saw this on tik tok already

    • Which account?

  • -8

Is this 20 x better than my $2 Kmart one?

  • +1

Does it come with a bracelet?

  • +1

What is the normal price? How much of a deal is this?

  • For this price, I hope it could sync time through wifi. Really hate the Daylight Saving time adjustment! Now I'm using Google Hub as clock. It's shame Amazon stopped selling the Echo Wall Clock.

    • I've always wanted affordable clocks with this feature. Multiple timezones would be awesome. This can be done with an old tablet and hidden power supplies but a real clock would be great.

      • Get the world time app on your phone.

        • I do have those widgets on the phone and desktop. I just like the idea of wall clocks with timezones and DST features.

Bought a nice Seiko digital clock in Tokyo in 2014. On sale for $10 with date, temp, & humidity display. A bargain!

Kept very accurate time in Japan.
Brought it home. It confusingly reset to Japan time (1 hour behind).

Found it picks up long wave radio time signal from Japan, when atmospheric conditions allow. Widely used with clocks & watches in Japan. Time is set from atomic clock.

Unfortunately, as designed for use only in Japan, there is no way to stop it resetting or to change time zone. Tried to disable antenna. Tried covering with aluminium foil… Still picks up radio signal & resets some nights. Oh well.

Internet based time seems a better solution. Local time has been available on phones for decades🕙
Long ago, lived on mountain on QLD / NSW border. In summer, found time on mobile changed depending on which phone tower it was receiving from.

  • What's the usual price? I quite like this clock

  • Is there a discount here? Seems like a lot for a clock, where's the original price? Doesn't it have to be in the title? And if not, why?

    • All time low according to camelx3 if that helps.

No option for Amazon US purchase - full price on Amazon AU store ($86.61)

    • +1

Offer must expired. I will update now. Not need to neg.

    • +3

Not a valid neg. You snooze you lose.

  • +1

dang it, i missed it. i wanted this to go with my skx :(

  • Any recommendation for a 60cm diameter clock?

  • Found a citizen wall clock the other day, must be at least 20 years old. Gave it a wipe and put in a new battery, it started ticking again. True story

    • +2

Where did you find it, on someone's wall?

      • +1

Haha, found it while cleaning out the garage.

  • Sapphire or mineral glass?

  • Anyone know of wall clocks where the hour hand only moves on the hour? I'm surprised this is not the norm in clocks.

    • -1

Yes a digital clock will do that.

    • Clocks don't do that because then they would be displaying the time incorrectly 🤷🏼‍♂️

When it's 12:30, the hour hand should be halfway between the 12 and the 1 … it should not still be on the 12 🤷🏼‍♂️

      • That’s what the minute hand is for, isn’t it?

        • No with analog the hour hand is supposed to gradually move between hours.

If you believed otherwise, you must sometimes feel like the clock you are looking at is not showing the right time and needs to be reset.

e.g. look at a digital readout showing 12:30pm. Then look at analog and see that minute hand is pointing 30, but the hour hand is between 12 and 1. You might think the analog time is wrong and needs to be fixed.

Have this model bought in 2016 from ebay for $85 delivered sitting on our kitchen wall.

Can confirm that it is plastic and is made in China.

But with a slightly domed clear cover, silent and accurate quartz movement and glow in the dark markings and dial it looks pretty classy and does what it does well.

    • Thanks for your feedback. Are you sure it's the same model number? Because I done a google search and saw that different sellers selling these exact wall clock model have as description metal frame.

      • Exactly the same model. QXA521JLH

Frame is definitely plastic but do not see that as a problem as it is a thick plastic that looks just fine.

  • Not sad I missed this - way overpriced IMO standard battery power made in China (probably)

  • SEIKO make really nice wall clocks, we have a few of them.
If you want local shipping try OH Clocks, always good service and shipping (just slightly annoying emails ;)

  • Sorry guys I previously spotted a deal on Shiels but didn't post it.

If you added a common Casio beater AE1500 and Seiko wall clock (different model to this deal) both on sale to cart and used a code it would virtually make the wall clock free. But I thought the "discounted" price of the AE1500 was basically normal price so I thought people wouldn't be too happy about that and also not be interested in the wall clock (because we all have smartphones).
    Also with cashback is available.

I guess sometimes you just to have faith and post it because someone might be interested.
