been looking for one - wonder if this is worth a try. The Ryobi as rubbish and I returned it after the 2nd time it broke.
What was the retail on this?

More than you can afford, pal. Ferrari

According to the Wayback Machine, a 6th of November 2022 Snapshot shows $119.

I had pretty bad luck with budget Karcher and Ryobi, this is my second Ozito and I'm pretty happy with it. Bought this one due to aluminium pump and straight swap Bunnings warranty, but never failed on me. I used smaller Ozito to wash car and this one to do driveway and roof once a year. I live near water and have a lot of mould. Roof clean takes 2 days of pressure clean almost 8 hours non-stop. Driveway around 5 hours non-stop. Pressure is not as strong as I expected, but would do. Have an amateur Youtube if interested, hope it helps: https://youtu.be/oT-KFmlmHqY
It is good enough for me, unlike others never failed on me, which is a bonus. YMMV.

        Good video - thank you.
the other one I was thinking of is the Gerni 5000
        https://www.bunnings.com.au/gerni-5000-1885psi-1800w-high-pr…
Quite a bit dearer of course.

Usability wise wise, is there much different between a flow rate of 7 vs 8.7?

        • +1

Sorry, can't comment on a flow rate as I'm not that experienced to compare… But both cheap Ryobi and Karcher their plastic pump is made of cheese, after using up to 30 min was failing. I just needed to have enough pressure and job that I can do non-stop for up to a day. Ozito holds well.
Saying that, I have a friend with the German build Karcher K3 and it is amazing, not comparable to this version of Ozito… at the different price point though… very different. :-)

Thanks for making the linked video and for sharing it here. 😀👍

        • You're most welcome. Some people love professional "reviews" I try to make ones from a regular user point of view :-). Glad it was useful.

      • +1

How big is your roof area roughly? Sounds like a lot of hours.. This is exactly what I want to do with it, as well as clean my bricks from a creeper plant that used to grow on it, and after ripping out left some roots/residue.

        • Need to look plans, but I think would be close to 200m2. Also, a bit challenging part is that I have 33 solar panels on it. Some bits are easier to clean, but some mould grows slightly "chunky" and takes time to deal with it. Also, while I'm there I pressure clean gutters. After a year they're full of "stuff" too.

My ryobi worked but was not strong, also snapped the wand.

I got a bosch off amazon, black friday 50% off, its amazing, used it to paint strip my weatherboard house…

Floor cleaning quick and thorough compared useless ryobi, was a cheaper one.

Its hard to compare using their metrics as it depends on the amount of water it can put out too.

      • Oh, which model Bosch and how much please? Im am still considering all options as Im in no hurry.

Have a $30 (gumtree) old Karcher K2 to keep me going for now.

Bosch 2100 Watt Electric High Pressure Washer Cleaner 2030 PSI with High Pressure Gun, Lance & 8 m Hose (AdvancedAquatak 140)

Big price difference to this, but amazon fluctuates with deals,

I was surprised, as a few days i used it for hours at a time, it seems a bit more sturdy too and has a long hose, i might leave it on the ground and go up on the roof and spray the roof sometime soon..

  • Thanks for sharing. Just need one

anyone know if you can get a attachment or adapter to unclog drains/pipes?

  • +1

    Nope and nope

    • genuine question..why?

      • Bad experience. Karcher or the new ryobi is amazing for the price

        • +1

I had nothing but issues with Ryobi - but when it worked it was good. Gave up on it now. Bunnings offered to upgrade me to the next model free, but I just wanted my $$$ back so I can get another brand. Their power tools are good. Got a leaf blower thats 11 years old now and still going.

        • Ryobi

Enjoy your pressure washer failing the day after the warranty runs out.

  • +1

I have this and find it great. Washes car well and great for small backyards. Plenty of power for most people at this price.

    • Same here, I've cleaned paths and walls. It's powerful enough to strip old paint off the walls.

      • +1

Same, i cleaned my greek garden with one.

It's certainly not the equivalent of a petrol drivennjndusyrial cleaner, but for <$100 it is good.

  • +2

The range of accessories is pretty small. Does anyone know if it is compatible with any other pressure washers that have a greater range?

  • I’ve got a Bosch one with 1750psi, unable to clean the pavement properly, not sure if this one will? Any user experiences?

    • The reviews and photos on the website sold me.

      • +1

Hopefully not the reviews on the Bunnings website. I've submitted 2 (non-positive) reviews, both have been rejected. They seem biased for some reason…

    • +1

Just posted comment above (with the Youtube vid). There a bit of concrete on the side of the house and a bit of driveway sample… To sum up, I'd wish a bit more pressure, but does the job.

      • @Kapitoshka great youtube video you shared above.

Saw you had a mini story about cherry ice cream on aldi ice cream maker.. wonderful :)

        • Thank you so much for kind words. I'm trying to help others who are not into scripted "reviews". Not everyone cup of tea though :-)

    • I got this does the job. About 10-15cm spread qa sufficient enough to clean the pavement. I had a Karcher from bunnings do weak it provided a 5cm spread only to clean the pavement.

  • I need a snow foam cannon accessory for car wash. Anyone know if this has any compatible ones?

  • what does it normally go for?

    • saw it for $120 last week

  • I bought this last week for NORMAL RRP, and then I had to return based on the pressure which to me wasn't strong enough. Was trying to clean the Concrete surface dirt and mold, which only worked if I was to use the JET STREAM only, which will take ages…..the spread spray is useless

    • Bought a cheaper Ryobi and literally gave it away in frustration due to the same crappy pressure. Have you found better?

  • Can I wash my roof with this one?

  • 5m hose is a deal breaker for me. Too short to wash SUV. You will need to keep moving the unit while you wash the car. 8m is desirable. It allows you to wash front, side and rear without carrying the unit.

  • Great unit. Had it for 18 months. No issues with it.

  • I just bought Gerni 3600 last night for over twice the price of this ozito. Should I exchange?

    • Depends how much you intend to use it and for what.

I happened to grab a Gerni 3600 a month or so back, knowing that I would (eventually) make use of all the extra accessories, along with knowing the Gerni came with a slightly longer warranty.

But if you don't intend to use it much, or need the accessories, then the Ozito is a decent price.

  • bought this one, was a DOA, went with Karcher

  • I bought this model last year and I am pretty happy with it.
Haven't tried any accessories so I cant comment there but its a decent cleaner with strong performance

  • Anyone know if we can attach a snow cannon onto this?

Got one of these, which is supposed to be able to connect to a Karcher K series
    https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/autoglym-autoglym-polar-…

    • +1

Most come with multiple adaptors that should fit. Im not sure if Ozito will be one but most likely has the same fitting as one of the others

  • I have this and it is pretty pathetic on any of the spread settings. Also annoying that it does not fit standard accessories.

    • +1

Maybe your is defective? Mine had no worries stripping the top layer of paint off the deck when I cleaned it.
I am no expert on these but it seems quite powerful to me

      • +1

        Cheers very helpful comment KT

  • FYI, the "original" Gerni pressure washers were much better than the "new", current models, as explained by my local Bunnings manager. Also, the flow rate is a more important factor than the psi.

  • Is this an overkill for an apartment bathroom and porch, mainly for the grout between floor tiles?

  • -1

K7 Karcher or nothing. Even my k4 is only just powerful enough.

    • I recently upgraded from a K2 to a K4 and I like the K4. I know the ones above it are better, but the price jumps very significantly.

The K4 does everything I need at the moment, definitely enough power to clean concrete anyway.

      • +1

Brass pumps vs plastic etc. My k4 has lasted 4 years now.

  • I am simple, I see gud ozb review, I buy
    Thanks OP

  • I got one of these to replace a small dead Gerni. I use it to clean outdoor tiles (mould & dirt), and mud off my dirt bike. It works well. Negative is I can't buy a longer hose, nor a soap dispenser, however I found I can adapt the wand soap dispenser from the Gerni but you have to hold the gun at 90 degrees, not great but works.

  • I tried one of these, the fitting where the garden hose connects broke first try, i got a replacement fitting for it from Bunnings. After that the part where the machine connects to the fitting split and started spraying water out everywhere from the back of the machine, got a replacement , the same part split for the replacement. Just got a refund instead this time and got a Mechpro washer from Repco , it has aluminium fittings on the machine a hose real and foam cannon and detergent reservoir stuff too was only a little bit more to buy.

    • Thanks for sharing - were you able to use the Ozito for some time to be able to compare with the Mechpro (performance wise)?

  • +1

Even though the discount here isn't much, it's still a decent buy at $99. The equivalent Karcher is a lot dearer.

Protip: when looking at pressure washers, ignore the "max" specs and look only at the "rated" or "working" specs, in particular working PSI and working flow rate (L/min). They usually bury these in the manual but these describe what you will actually experience in real usage. You also want an aluminium (or better) pump for longevity.
