radiator block looks a bit small? I remember even the kingpin 3 series have 3 fans and a bigger block?

    • You never saw the R9 295X2 then!

    • They can go bigger ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • Holy canooli

  • Cheap

  • +5

    gret deal?
    really????

    • +6

      Yeah

Drops down the price of this niche liquid-cooled model to near the standard reference models

      • how many more rt frames does this liquid cooled card get over its cheaper air cooled model?

        • +1

          not many

More for size difference vs quad slot big bus card

        • Even if it gives 5% more i would’ve taken it because it would be easy to fit in SFF cases.

          • @PennyPincher11: Why would you be using a mini case with 4090 built ? I mean this is getting more absurd by the minute 🤣

            • @botchie: This would probably be useful for people who want to install more PCIe cards as stock ones takes 4 slots and covers most slots on the motherboard.

              • @[Deactivated]: what else are you installing in the computer - I've had myn for 20 years, never installed anything but a GPU, maybe back in the day a sound card but these are no longer any better then what you get on the MB

                • +1

@botchie: Not me, for people who want multiple GPUs and capture cards, more high speed pcie nvme extentions etc. Just saying, there is always a market. A lot of people would be happy to build this in a ITX cabinet as a hobby or want to side mount it but their cabinet only supports 2 slots for side mounting. Very good for ITX actually as it blows out the heat directly.

                • +1

@botchie: i have a firewire card to connect some old audio hardware, a usb isolater card for my dac to reduce electro interference.

              • -2

@[Deactivated]: Like those who put sound blaster card lol as they bought crappy mobo with crappy inbuilt sound.

                • @jsilverhand: Most people running 6 core intel CPUs buy crappy mobo with crappy audio. They dont even realise its crappy because they have crappiest speakers. go figure.

            • @botchie: just because! :D

            • @botchie: Alot of people actually prefer that. Maybe not for everyone i know.
With liquid cooling in small form factor its really sleek like Dan A4 h2o

            • @botchie: Why not, I have a watercooled RTX3080 squeezed into a Coolermaster NR200.

        • It's very useful if you want to install multiple cards without using raiser cables.

Got a bargain here that'll fit your budget instead. https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/graphics-cards/nvidia/89…

      • I'm waiting for a free Intel arc , by the way they are going shouldn't be too long

    Perfect for mining!

Whoever can afford 3k for a graphic card doesn’t mind pay 1k more. Have you heard LV or Rolex ever on sale?

    • Simon Simon Simon. Based on the 5 votes you've made (1 per year) and your comment history, you're buying goods that would be considered a luxury to someone.

You should stop being so salty about these products.

      • -3

I think you got me wrong. There are only 2 kind of people who are going to buy 3k+ graphics cards.

        1. For work, making money, like miners, content maker such as YouTubers. It is for their business, they can get tax returns for their expenses.

        2. Rich, too much money sitting in bank, just buy stuffs without checking the price tag.

None of these two would be waiting for deals on ozbargain. Are they going to buy a $4000 gpu when it was first launched? Or wait for a couple of months for a 3k deal?

Unfortunately I am none of the two, and using a 6700 in my small itx case. I don’t play fps, so pretty happy with my 60-100 fps on 2k screen.

        • This is overly generalized and largely personal interpretation. The reality is much more complicated than what you've summarized, so no need to put everyone in those two categories.

        • Sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder.

Does anyone really buy these. Come on man, really nvida.

    • +1

If someone is buying a 4090 for gaming that is their own fault. $3k isn't expensive compared to Quadro cards of the past

      • +1

I wouldn't care what people spend their money on usually but because of 🤡 that pay these prices NVIDIA pumps up the rest of the line up too affecting me 🤣🤣

        • +1

some companies with deep pockets will buy these series (not this model) for their production needs.

if it's too expensive for us, then we are not the target market. simply put.

        • Yeah it bumps up the price lower end models.

HODL! 4090 Titan/Ti around the corner

    • Wasn't it 18 months between 3090 and 3090Ti? Why would they acceralate the 40 series?

      • Titan would be 2000 to 2300USD. Its a different price bracket. Yields seem to be good so they might have enough dies to move to the next step. More milking.

      • I saw a comment about 4090 Ti release date somewhere. It was saying something like this:

4090 is unrivaled in gaming world so far. So why nVidia would release 4090 Ti yet?

Information about 4090 Ti is thin but slowly slowly getting released to the internet. Common expectation about release date is Q3-Q4 2023

More info can be found here: https://videocardz.com/nvidia/geforce-40/geforce-rtx-4090-ti

    • I built my i9-13900K system. Only missing part is graphics card. Waiting for 4090 price drop. my sweet spot is around $1800-$2000.

I might need to wait for another year :)

The infamous sup-rim. Over to you Steve. Thanks Steve.

  • 4090ti bargains incoming though.

  • Dear f-ing lord that is hefty. Who are buying these?

  • Loll $700 lower than local..🤦🏻

  • +1

What nonsense is this? Who tf pays $3k for a graphics card? 🤦‍♂️

    • Miners :)

  • +1

I say that price is so superb that I shall skip the express shipping and fly over in my private jet to pick it up. We can stop in Paris and make a long weekend of it. Good show!

  • This is a Liquid not Liquid X, even the difference is small, the misleading title of the post should be changed still.

    • That was my mistake, copied paste the wrong model

    • The difference is literally just 30MHz, right?

      • theoretically, yes. I'm just not too sure if those OC versions have anything to do with a better silicone lottery though. If anyone knows, please share your thoughts

The X is at the same price now

      • Yep, you'll find the newegg price fluctuates quite often, which is weird.

  • Does anyone know if newegg purchases incur an international transaction fee from our lovely Australian banks?

    • Depends on your credit card, many cards don't have a fee

    • AFAIC, there is not credit card fee associated as long as you are paying using an australian CC. Thinking of pulling the trigger on this one?

      • +1

If charged by the bank, the fee is added by the bank on all transactions where money is sent to non-Australian businesses.

I've had intl tx fee slapped on me when buying a Google Pixel (payment was in AUD, purchase done on Australian google store) because Google Store had an old address of mine and the wrong "entity" has charged me for the transaction. Bank just told me to get lost lol.

So yeah I need to know before/if I pull the trigger. Westpac credit charges 3% for those which is an extra $100 on top which is stupid, but the card gives extended warranty

EDIT: Also price increased to $2,719.00, now translates to $3,084.97 after GST

EDIT2: Decided to not go with it and wait for another (cheaper) card to go on sale locally so I can have local warranty + extended warranty from Westpac. Performance-wise all 4090s seem to be pretty much the same. Also, air can't leak or evaporate :D

Exact reason why i didn't pull the trigger, after watching about 10 Youtube reviews on this card
