These used to be $80 with Boost not that long ago…

    • Any link?
Afaik Boost has only $200 and $300 started annual kits.
      The cheapest was $170 + $40 cashback.

What? The last 60GB Boost deal I could find is 3 years old and was $100: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/513258

Also, it was for 6 months not 12.

Boost 12 months 80GB hasn't been below $130 in the past 3 years AFAIK.

Any good options how to move out of amaysim for 1 day for cheap? Thanks

    • Go into woolies/coles and pickup a cheap starter pack. Sometimes you can get lebara for $5

Port to Kogan for a day or even see the month out with them?

First month free with Kogan on the monthly small/medium plans.

Sim will cost $2 and it can either be mailed out to you or purchased from 7-11 and United Petrol Stations.

Get a free month with Felix ?

  • On par with Coles $99 60GB plan, if not slightly better with more countries for international inclusion. Although the 5000 flybuys points of the last deal really made the Coles one a good deal, but only if that doesn't have an expiry.

    • coles expired on 31/01

      • I recently lost my SIM traveling in Europe. When I got back, they told me I can't buy a $2 SIM and switch, like most Telcos do. So they will send you a SIM which can take anything from 1 - 8 Business days.

On top of that, you cannot divert your calls.

When I complained, they said look at the T&C's - it states you should not use the ColseMobile offerings for Business purposes! I think I will get this, and port from Coles, even though there is 9 months to go. Really bad service.

What countries are included for international talk? I get a 404 error when using OPs link in description.

  • If you are not currently with WW for mobile, insurance or CC, then go to shopback or cashrewards and get $35 back from the same plan.

    • I don’t use Shopback so can’t comment on that one, but CR has cashback for $120 plan not for the $119 plan. So be careful.

  • Can we use it ss eSim?

    • Yes, although couldn't get mine across on Pixel 4 and support was hopeless, hence they reverted back to one of my spare physical sim 48h later (yes I was out of service for 48h)
Woolies mobile gives you a QR code, was seamless. Amaysim couldn't generate a QR code. Wouldn't try with them again

  • How long can you wait between purchase and activation? I'm still using another prepaid.

  • Anyone know how the internet speed of Amaysim's prepaid service? I live in 3021 and Coles' is the worst (average 12 mbp) while Boost's at 50.

    • I have been with Amaysim for the last 8 months. Will never recommend. Very slow in our area. Went for a road trip from Wagga Wagga to Perth. After Port Augusta, my phone was useless until we reached Perth after three days. Telstra have coverage everywhere. Will never come back to Optus or Amaysim.

    • Coles Mobile and Amaysim both run on the Optus network, so might not be great for you. :/

  • FWIW I got this plan for half price ($60) in November or December -ish. No issues with data or connectivity in metro Melbourne.

  • pity its optus network.

  • as per this there is no international calling? https://www.amaysim.com.au/plans/long-expiry-plans/unlimited…

    • +1

Even though it shows no free international calls on the site, there is to 28 countries. I call US numbers every day at no additional cost on this plan. Once you have the sim setup the app lists the free international calls.

  • I bought it just now. Was not happy that I couldn't use my e-gift card, but my sentiment got changed after seeing 3000 points collected.

    • Did you get the 3k points instantly?

    • 3,000 points?

  • Did not know you can’t use e-gift card and for SIM card. This is new?

Does anyone know if you can receive sms while overseas?
Got stung by Cole Mobile last year … and want to avoid them like a plague.

    • I was able to recieve sms on amaysim last time I went overseas about 3 years ago - before covid. I remember my monthly plan expired half way so had to top-up with some credit, my plan got changed to pay as you go and was then able to recieve sms. The incoming sms were free. But it might also depend on what country you go to etc.

  • Bought this and when I tried to activate it, the website isn't working properly. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Chat support is dragging it a lil

    • Did you get it activated yet? I'm facing the same issue where the cart says it's not working.

      • Yep, contacted live chat. They said it was an issue with Optus and a few days later it got activated.
