    Jackson 4 Powerboard $15 @ Woolworths

    Can You Feel It ??

    • -3

Feel the BS in the air from you, or the cheapness of this powerboard deal?

  • +5

A year ago, this was $10 after 1/2 price, now they jack up the price to $30, and put on the 1/2 price sale for $15.

      Thank you inflation :-/

      • +5

From Woolies it's more greed than inflation. They just did another round of price increases while inflation has peaked and PPI (producer price index) was down in December.

Oh I don't doubt that at all. But I'm sure "inflation" will be the official explanation.

Not the best Powerboard. IMO if you want a good Powerboard go for the Cyberpower one

      • cyberpower

Isn’t cyberpower up there with heymix for most bashed by comments powerboard deals?

(I have two cyberpower ones and actually have been good for now. Rest are Belkin for me)

I have got one Cyberpower powerboard and I am very happy with it.

      • The Cyberpower board is a cheap powerboard not a good one. By far one of the worst built powerboards I've used (I'm sure there are worse HEYMIX-tier ones out there but I don't buy those).

        • And the Jackson 4 it's better? I used both and in my opinion the Cyberpower it's superior.

    Gimme Jackson 5!

  • 100% failure.

    • Blame It on the Woolies….

Weak energy absorption - 175 Joules

  • Just know Jackson 5. Jackson 4 looks fake.

  • Just (price) beat it!

  • What's a good all round powerboard similar to this that won't bust the bank balance

  • Any deals for tower power ones?

  • I bought 3 of these last time they were on sale. Been using them for 6 months or so.

They have a BRIGHT blue led that doesn't turn off, I opened up the boards and pulled the leds out with pliers, boards still work fine.
A couple of the plugs don't seat that well and sometimes do that electrical crackly noise if it gets bumped, but most are fine.
People complained last time because apparently the USB voltage is shared or something, but we never charge more then one or two things at once and I haven't found it to be an issue. I don't charge phones on them though.

Overall I'd give them a 2/5, you get what you pay for and I didn't pay much!

    • Small correction… this is not the version with USB ports. I think you're referring to the PT1814USB version of this board?

Looks like Amazon have matched the $15 price
