      Full points for honesty

  • Can it shred credit/atm cards?

  • Can it shred cardboard?

    • Can it shred cheese?

  • Is there any good product for cardboard shredding for compost?
    16 ~ 20 sheets size is enough I think.

Amazon AU products are short running time and very expensive…๐Ÿ˜Ÿ
Amazon US has several good products but shipping fee is kills it.๐Ÿ˜

I personally got a cheapie from kogan:

      https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-paper-shredder/

      Cost me $70 in 2021.

Never noticed a cooldown, although it gets warm from continual use. I purely use it for cardboard boxes. Chops through Amazon boxes easily, heavy-duty boxes I help push them down as it slows down and struggles a bit.

I purely got it expecting it to die on me, but it's been going well so far.

      • have you tried with atm/credit cards?

        • I've only used it for paper/cardboard.

It has a dedicated CD slot - so I assume cards, etc will be fine.

        Thanks.
        Shipping cost $19 to me…
I think it's a Chinese OEM, so I'll have to look for other products with the same specs and appearance.

I think it's the same thing with Kogan one.
But it said 2mins run and 30 mins cool down…

I'd say that's 100% the same one (except Kogan put their logo on the top).

I've never paid attention to cooldown on mine and have used it for 3-4 large boxes (15-20 mins) before and never had an issue.

I have one, never encountered the overheating protection even shedding for 10 minutes straight. Most annoying thing about it is the slot is barely wider than an A4 page so if you donโ€™t feed paper in straight in gets very slow. Otherwise does an ok job for $60.
