eufy Security Dual Cam Wireless 2K Video Doorbell, with HomeBase 2 (E8213C12)

Cheapest I could find for AU stock. $8.95 to Brisbane Metro

Has been slightly cheaper on Amazon AU ($348 in Nov 2022)

Rather than buy this (sorry AAA), I got JB to price match and applied the $10 Perks coupon (with free C+C), so $339 all up.

insert standard warning about eufy/anker's bad security practices..etc etc.

    buyer beware.

Fair to point that out - thanks!

As this is my only eufy product and will be outward-facing, for me it is a fair compromise between security and convenience.

Unless it can see into the parcels -_-

Tagging faces of your household and those that visit your home then distributing them to a global database (in China?) is probably not the best ….

Insert standard warning that the competing products from arlo will be out support before they leave the factory.

Waiting for them to offer a leasing option..

  • 10% giftcards on too

From the photo in the link, it makes gender detection real hard

You should have purchased with 10% off Giftcards @ Woolies

    • Agreed. I got anxious about the deal expiring before I could get into Woolies to acquire some gift cards. I ended up using a ShopBack JB gift card with 2.5% cashback.

    • Thats what i said and got negged

      • I assume the neg was regarding the gender detection haha

😅 isn't that true? The lady looks like a man with that face 🤣

waiting for the doorbell + door lock in one to come down to $400

    • I was also interested in this, except for the issue of a screen door, that would obstruct the camera in my case

      • Can't find many locks that fit on screen doors
        Certainly not from eufy

I think this whole eufy thing sets a bad tone in that you can go and false advertise, breach security and privacy then hope a couple weeks later it blows over. It would be fine if it was a honest mistake but it wasn’t the first time and they would not admit to the clear issues. It really promotes others to do the same …ie don’t worry about security, privacy etc cos it’s back to business as usual in a couple weeks. Can it possibly be a bargain when a company acts this way?

Could not have said it better myself. It's underhanded and gives them an unfair advantage over other brands trying to do things the right way.

as someone who have bought nearly a hundred of anker's products over the years (and gifting them to friends),
i have stopped looking at their products because of this eufy stance.

see, if i wanted no privacy, i can always get xiaomi/etc, as they don't pretend to be anything secure. why do i pay a premium to be treated like mug? it's cheaper going with xiaomi and the likes also. there's just no value proposition for anker/eufy.

i started buying satechi GaN chargers for example.

    • Headline - YouTube content creator doesn’t want any more free Eufy products?

  • I only need an “add on”. Already have the hb 3 with the solar panel camera pack. I am looking at the single cam version.
