  • Hey rep, why the hell do you farm ebooks out to the likes of Amazon and hugely inflated prices?

Like The Ecology of Australian Freshwater Fishes if effing $138 on Amazon or the bargain price of $104 on Kobo which is just stupid.

Luckily people with CSRIO subscriptions through their work freely share such books because without it, people would have to resort to spending $100+ on a friggen ebook.

  • The Ecology of Australian Freshwater Fishes book had an RRP of $130 whilst still in print but is now only available as an eBook. Our eBooks are available for individual purchase and download from our retail partners including Amazon Kindle, eBooks.com, Google, Kobo. Not every partner will stock all available titles, and the prices may vary as they are controlled by the retailer.

Other ways you can access our eBooks include HighWire which hosts our institutional eBooks access for university and research libraries https://ebooks.publish.csiro.au/

You can also access our eBooks through schools and public libraries through their eBook suppliers including Wheelers, Overdrive and Bolinda.

  • Not the largest sale (in terms of variety and amount) I've seen from CSIRO but it's something, I guess.
