  • Tempting, but I worry about the warranty.
I don't remember seeing this online shop on the list of authorised reseller from Roborock.

      • ah yep that's the image I saw from a prev thread.

I got similar response when I messaged Roborock too.

      • It says ebay. Does this mean above product will be supported by warranty

        • +1

I contacted the seller they replied stating the warranty is through them..

Think I'd rather pay a bit extra for a piece of mind TBH from a retailer such as david jones etc

    • Just putting this out there.

  • I don't understand why these docks seem to all require disposable bags.

Are the bags required? Or can you just use without bags and lift the bins off for disposal?

    • They have two options - either disposable bags or a reusable insert which you can take out and wash.

      • oh I see. is the reusable insert included or a separate purchase?

        • included in Australian models, some overseas markets don't.

          • @LeonC: Where does it state that? I bought mine from mobicity and it does not come with it.

      • Mine came with the insert but it's just the vacuum emptying dock not the empty wash full dock. I got mine from Amazon on Black Friday.

        • I believe the MaxV Ultra dock does not support bagless.

  • Is the AI actually any good? Does it avoid cables and kids toys and stuff?

    • It looks like a camera in the front, so it depends on how good the software is at deciphering those items.
Their marketing videos seems to cover those items.

Just looking into the Dreame L10Pro now (for comparison), going off the Dreame D9max thread.
It seems to have Dual lasers up front.
      Few hundred $ cheaper too.

      1, yes,
      2, but not always.

    • I have one, it's pretty impressive.

Avoids like 90% of stuff, drives around the dogs and sends me pictures of the obstacles.

Did drive over a USB-C cable the other day and sent me a notification saying the roller was jammed and it needed help.

    • I've had it with pretty well most times. It sometimes will lightly bump into like chair legs but the front bumper is pretty sensitive.

It did get caught on a shoelace and started dragging around a shoe but I heard the noise and was easy to pull it back out.

Honestly it works best with clear floors. If I'm sending it out I'll go around and pick things off the floor beforehand.

links need to be updated - seller is 'briseekit' not sydney mobiles

        Noted, please accept my apology.

Just a heads up, Roborock have already announced the S8. I believe it will be available for purchase from March.

  • I have had a S6 pure for nearly three years its been absolutely fantastic, does such a great job and not one major issue (just typical issue like xmas ribbons jammed up in wheels, main brush etc)

I have a large area of mostly hard flooring with a small amount of carpet, seemed like too much hassle with S6 pure to setup and mop wasnt that good but have read nowadays you can set zones for areas which wont mop and the mop heads work much better with cleaning detergents.

Whats everyones experience been with the mop function on the S7?

    • +2

The mop function with the S7 MaxV Ultra is great. I haven't been able to buy cleaning detergents as it seems the recommended Roborock OMO Floor Cleaner is always out of stock but even without cleaning detergents it cleans even dried up food spills in the kitchen very well. Not sure it really needs cleaning detergents but I want to use it purely for the nice fresh smell.

With that being said I probably wouldn't bother with the mop function unless I had the Ultra dock as it cleans the mop head before and after each mop and fills the water tank plus empty's the dirty water. Oh and the drying module addon also dries the mop head when it is docked so it doesn't start to smell.

      • if you are with the robot, spray the cleaning detergent on the floor when mopping
