Its 4k.
60Hz - 4k - with Single USB C solution. Recon good deal if you do not want a gaming monitor.
Would be fine for anything except fps games?
its fine for any game if you're fine with 60fps (adequate for most people)
daily task actually benefit as much as gaming from high HZ.
scrolling, dragging window, just move around cursor feels way more snappy.
and actually only FPS benefit the most from high hz. moba, sim, rpg actually works more than fine on a 60hz.
Single USB C solution.
Do GPU's come with USB-C ports ? :/
rtx 20xx series did, nothing after that unfortunately.
7900 XT/XTX have USB-C Output as well.
Any thoughts on this vs S2722QC ?
dell S2722QC is better and more expensive
Fair enough.
The dell has been on sale for less
Huh? I have S2722QC, but in what way is that better?
There is no DisplayPort output on S2722QC, the PD passthrough is 65W only. S2722QC doesn't offer any pre-tuned sRGB mode (wouldn't surprise me if this one does).
S2722QC has the tinny speakers. If FreeSync is a factor, wouldn't DisplayPort be better? Getting FreeSync to work over HDMI may not be that great. We know some Dell S series monitors did not implement FreeSync on HDMI correctly.
I have both the Dell S2722QC and the LG 27UK850 which is quite similar to this. They’re very similar in most respects, basically the same display for productivity tasks, but the LG is nicer in many ways.
This looks like a good price, but you wouldn’t be unhappy with either display.
be good when the 4k 120hz displays go down.
thats a lotta bandwidth!
My 1440 Triples say Hi
no built-in speakers?
Is 4k in 27" a bit cramped? I have a 32" 4k monitor and in Windows I set the scaling to 125%…
Looks fine to me - if anything I wouldn't mind a higher pixel density.
100% scaling lets me have more on screen at once too :)
More PPI the better especially if your dealing with text etc
Iv had a few 5k 27" iMacs over the last 10 years and i cant get over how little options there are for high PPI in the PC space.
Such a quality of life improvement.

I haven't really kept up with the monitor scene, so I might be totally off base here, but maybe companies figure that:
Customers who are looking for a cheap monitor probably won't spend on a high res monitor
Gamers with a lot of cash also tend to want high refresh rate which until relatively recently hasn't been a thing at 4K (I think)
Professionals have their needs satisfied by those crazy expensive pro monitors (and Apple products, for that matter)
It seems like we're finally getting to a point where 4K is cheap enough to produce and sell at <$500, albeit without all the bells and whistles.
only 60hz
