Price matching Coles but cheaper with S&S.

Thanks to petemod for the original deal on the unsweetened almond milk. I am posting the unsweetened oat milk as a separate offer as I know it has high ratings on peoples favourite milk alternatives based on forum polls. It’s also my daily go to as a low carb milk alternative!
Not sure if it classifies as a duplicate if it does happy for you to delete this but posting it as I know the oat version is a people’s fav here ;)

Min order limit of 3. Max limit of 6.

Your Vitasoy oat milk is made from Australian oats, whole kernels and oat flour. Made from oats grown in the fertile soils of South Australia, Victoria and lower New South Wales, Vitasoy Oat Milk Unsweetened is a great alternative to dairy. Proudly made in Australia

  • Does anyone use this oat in coffee? How does it taste?

    • +11

not bad actually prefer it over almond now

has a creamier flavour where as almond I find is more oily and depending on the brand can have a bitter aftertaste

I normally drink the Califia Oat barista blend, so curious how this compares.

        At $2, it's worth a shot.

        • +8

I personally prefer this one over the $5 brands. The only one that I find better is the same brand but the ‘milky’ variety. It tastes pretty similar but froths slightly better.

        • You should try to buy Australian.

      • +1

Yeah, I use this daily in my coffee. It's great. Foams pretty well too.

    • Really good - actually makes instant taste alright if I am out of beans for the espresso machine.

    • +3

It's good! I used to buy "Barista" oat milks but bought this once when I had no other choice and now I get it all the time. It still froths like the barista blends do and tastes good. I go between this and the "milky" oat.

    • +3

I use either this or Oak Milky. Similar to the other comment I switched from Almond to this and prefer it.

    • I prefer it at this point. It wasn't even some long transition, it just actually tastes good.

    • Yep, its delicious! I prefer the "Oat Milky" but this one is pretty good.
Other oat milks taste too watery or too thick but Vitasoy got this one just right

    • +1

I've tried about 6 different types of oat milk for my coffee recently at the sub $3 range and this is the best by far.

      • Yeah or vitasoy oaty

    • +1

Bang for Buck this is the best Oat milk I've tried. I've had all the expensive ones ($5 a litre) and even Coles and Aldi ones. Froth is great on my Breville. Even enjoy it in my cereal.

Haven't touched Almond in 2 years. Ordered another 6 Subscribe and save pending cancellation on arrival. Thanks Op!

    Same price at Coles FYI.

with Subscribe and Save will make it 10% cheaper, and delivered to your door :p

    Need milky

  • I've been drinking this for the last 2 years and it's a great balance between price and quality. I only buy it at this price, but I usually pick up 5+ at a time. I use it for coffee, hot chocolate and I even love the taste by itself. Highly recommend.

  • +2

Thanks OP, we buy this one and the 'Milky' version all the time - just ordered! :-)

  • Meh. Max limit is 6… When this goes on sale i usually buy all the boxes usually like 7 boxes. I drink probably 1 or 2 a day. This or milky

    • 1-2 L a day!? Do you mean your family, or just you?

      • +1

Thats just me. Sometimes family will have some if their other milk has ran out.

    • Why lol

Prefer the the vita soy latte any day over the dare or other iced coffee products, plus it's $3 in 2023 bases of inflation that shouldn't make sense.

Whoever ran the campaign at vitasoy to sell chocolate for the last 4 years should be fired, it's the most revolting product (just add Milo, it tastes better) however the soy latte version tastes nice, almost slightly different to the dare product plus it's lactose free, and you can store in the pantry.

Last time I checked, soy based products sealed can be stored in the pantry.

But if we're talking about soy soy, well the top 4 winners are:

    Coles at $1.15
    Sanitarium soy at $1.90
    Aldi light soy at $1.15
    And vita soy at $3

These are fixed prices bases of taste to price.

  • One of the better oat milks I have tried, buy it whenever it's $2 at Colesworth. Nice and creamy, recommended.

    Oat Milk, that's just nasty!!

  • +1

Only issue I have had is S&S price hike with out notice. Find it more reliable buying oat milk weekly specials at woolies.

  • +2

These used to be $1.35 half price. Guess those days are over. Cheers got some anyway.

    • Been gone since I joined Amazon as this was my first order 2 years ago. $1.80 s&s back then

      • Yes meant woolies or Coles, wasny bad

  • I see that in the same brand, you often see a "barista" version and a non barista version. What's the difference?

  • Does anybody know if S&S keeps the discounted price after the deal has ended?

    • +3

S&S price will change according to the normal price, so if the normal price of oat milk had risen to $3 before the next month/time period, you'd be charged $2.70 instead of $1.80 (If you don't cancel immediately, which you can do with no strings attached)
I think Amazon also sends you an email notifying you of price changes before they charge and ship it to your door (correct me if I'm wrong)

      • Not wrong, just clarifying a little
An email is sent notifying of the order and the cut off date for any changes to the order. This includes the total price with a cost per item if bulking multiple.

Not really based on whether the price has changed or not, it’s just a reminder that’s automatically sent a few days before it gets locked in 🙂

The milk and price is great, but man the tetrapak cartons are impossible to recycle. Can't stomach them all going to landfill instead of recycled like HDPE

    • +2

      Where are you?

“Tetra Pak cartons are recycled in 49 countries around the world and over 80% of Australians have access to a council recycling collection that accepts them.“

    • Wow!
I always thought they just go in the recycling bin. I guess I have never actually checked.

      • I put it in there, it's cardboard i assumed

        • +1

Yeah best to check your council, it's a composite material not just cardboard. If not accepted, unfortunately it's contamination and makes the recycling sorting process much harder!

  • Geez, Chinese owned though 🫤

    • Bonsoy Japanese at least.
You could always get pure harvest brand..

      • True, and situated right near my folks in Drouin. Also Woolworths has their oat milk half price for $1.40 a litre!

        • yeah was going to get that but for some reason got this amazon oat and almond delieverd
