  • Why is oat milk so much cheaper than soy milk nowadays?

    • +2

Or what's with the ridiculous price hike on the woolies / coles branded variants. $1.30 > $2

That's not in-line with inflation lol.

I know. On the other hand, in my opinion the taste of the Coles soy milk has improved over the past few years. It's early as good as Vitasoy now.

      Trendier to be a soy-boy?

    • Working here.

sunflower oil is in the third place of ingredient list, EWWWWWWW

    • +3

Pretty much all popular soy milks/oat milks have sunflower oil or another vegetable oil in them. Except Bonsoy.

      • Bonsoy's the only soy milk I buy. Double the protein per serving versus basically every other soy milk, goes well with protein shake. Bloody expensive but worth it (for me).

        • Vitasoy Protein Plus is better - besides being Australian, has 19% whole soybeans, 4.2% protein (vs Bonsoy’s 14%, 4.1%)

  • Oat milky is $1.35 per litre for 12. Much tastier. https://amzn.asia/d/axP1VwE

Note that the 'milky' version has ~20% less oats.

    • and last I checked, the 'Milky' one has more sugar. I'd rather pay a bit more to have more oats and less sugar.

        • Actually yes you are correct.

          Sugar in the whole 1L

          Oat milk Unsweetened (10% Oat) - 2.8g
          Oat milk Milky (8% Oat) - 2.3g

          Almond milk Unsweetened - 0.8g
          Almond milk Milky - 3.6g

  • Looks like max 2 per order, not sure if you can make multiple orders.

    it’s possible, but generally not

  • Almond available again.

  • Oat milk available again.
