  • Great price. I love my Uoni.

  • Is this one that actually mops with oscillation etc or just drags thin wet cloth along the ground?

    • You're thinking of Yeedi.

      • So this one does not do it then?

        • +2

          No.

          • +7

@Clear: Hey silly negger who disagrees. 110% the Yeedi is the oscillating mop vacuum. Not the Uoni.

            • +1

              @Clear: You tell 'em!

Too many negs thrown around willy-nilly on OzB

              Neggers, please!

  • Does 10 maps mean for different floors? Eg upstairs and downstairs would be 2 maps? Or there is size limit for each map?

    • +1

I don't know if they've fixed it, but from memory the multi floor feature wasn't previously working as it should, and you have to load the map for different floors from previous runs as opposed to saving each map.

    • +1

The map part is the neg on this product. Can't edit what is considered a "room" and I have not seen any way to have multiple maps or even restore as some people suggested.

      • As in once it creates a room you can't wall it off to create another room? If so then I'm ok with that I guess, I do like and use that feature for the roborock though.

        • E.g. it includes my entire living room, kitchen, hallway and two bedrooms into one room. So it is highly inefficient to map the borders before starting a vacuum. Constantly travels around to vacuum the missed spots from one corner to another. Also, my first map got deleted when I picked it up. It now only vacuums vertically as opposed to horizontally (on a 2d map).

  • Sorry not familiar with this kind of product but do all robovacs automatically switch from vacuum to mop? Or is that something I specifically need to seek out? Thanks.

    • +3

For most robot vacuums (like this one), you need to manually attach/detach the mop pad as you need it. You can set no mop zones with most of them so they won't clean your carpet/rugs with the mop pad attached.

Some more expensive models (e.g. Roborock S7) have a mop lifting function, which will lift the mop when it detects carpet.

    • +1

I have Roborock S6 Max and it automatically switches between vacuum & vacuum plus mop depending on floor type.

  • +1

God damnit I wish I'd gotten this instead of the Dreame

    • +1

      How come?

    • @User352395 whats wrong with dreame and which one yours?

  • +1

Fantastic price for this deal as it includes the Auto Empty Station

  • Anyone able to give feedback on how this goes with dog hair please? I'm looking for a robovac between the $400-$600 price range ideally. Currently have an old eufy but would like an auto empty station

    • Quite a few of the reviews on Amazon discuss how it goes with pet hair. General consensus from a quick browse seems to think it does well, except the brush gets tangled with the hair which needs to be manually removed (a common problem with most of these single brush robots).

      • +2

I have had this model for 8+ months and is flawless. I did get extra brushes along with it. We do not have a dog but every time it cleans - i can see it has collected a lot of hair and wife is happy with it.

I agree with the hair tangled in brush but that is easy to remove and clean - may be once a month.

The map feature works well. Do get stuck sometimes but that is under the cooktop where we have a small pipe.

The auto-empty works really well and it does about 50 m2 in about 58 mins.

Can be integrated with Google Assist and the UONI app is also decent.

        Best investment ever.

  • +2

Record low seems to be $399 according to 3C In Oct 22.
    Still decent price though.

    • Damn I should have been subbed sooner. Would have been a good deal.

  • Have the roidmi eve plus (clone of this) and its been superb

Would recommend, definitely at this price

  • Neato D10 is king - cleans carpet better than anything else on the market

  • coupon no longer there. :( missed out it seems

  • +1

never heard this brand. is this really good/reputable/last long/strong power/etc ? i heard about roidme, roborock, but not this uoni

    • I'm in the same boat.

I wonder if there's a good website that compares all these robot vacs….

      • very difficult… and plus those chinese brands, who knows they may pay some reviewers to promote them

  • Coupon worked for me. Just ordered. Let’s see how I go with this product. Thanks OP

  • Struggled to get the coupon to apply, but got there in the end. Thanks

  • +1

How much do the dust bags cost? Are they easily available?

    • Found a pack of 6 on Amazon for $30, sold by UONI themselves.

  • Coupon apply at the last step of checkout before you pay.

    • if the coupon is available, it'll be displayed on the main product page FYI.

  • +1

Looks like the coupon is no longer offered.

  • Where is the coupon? I don't see it.

  • duh should just put it on cart first then think

  • Bugger. Deal was available on the product page, but had gone by the time I got through to checkout :(

  • Damn just missed out. Had the coupon applied but it got stripped as I was trying to checkout

  • If the coupon is not working you might need to try reloading the page a few times. The coupon was there then gone then there, then didn't apply at check out then did

  • +1

    This versus S5 Max? 🤔

  • 2700pa is rather weak

    • +1

but just google roborock t7 is just 2500 ? which one stronger?

    • It's more than enough,
Better than the class leading roborock.

  • This honestly looks identical to Roborock S7.. product sharing?

  • This will be great until it fails which it will.

    • That's a concern. They have drop sensors and you can et exclusions in the app.

Unless you plan on pushing it down the stairs of course 😅

      • i think he means fails as broken or stop working
but hey, whats last forever… even human is not

        • Hence exclusions. I set my Viomi and Ecovacs to avoid the staircases.

          • @Clear: @clear
why you have two different brand? i mean one can do whole house or maybe your house too big?
            which one better?
do you think there is one decent for around $500 (with auto empty station and auto water filled)…. or i am dreaming…

            • @CyberMurning: Robot vacuums can't climb stairs. I have an Ecovacs N8 Pro and a much older/cheaper Viomi. Ecovacs easily wins being the more premium one and has more room to cover.

Ones like this and Viomi S9 are good $500ish range models. Auto water ones you're dreaming at this price. Only the fancy four figure ones have such a thing.

It's hard to go wrong with robot vacuums. They all work so similar.

              • @Clear: ah i see okay for me i will carry them upstair like once a week, ground floor need more cleaning.
as long they have this auto empty im happy with manual filling water (but the mop is crucial as we have hardfloor now)
how about suction 2700pa (this one uoni) is good enough ? i see some 4000pa ones.

                • @CyberMurning: Higher suction always better. 2700 is definitely the lower end. Either way I still do a quick one over with the cordless vacuum

      • +1

My OG Xiaomi roborock fell down the stairs, sensors were clean. Dinged the hell out of my timber staircase, it was never allowed upstairs after that….

    • Are you saying based off experience with this model or in general? I got one but don't want it if it's going just break down after a year

    • source?

  • would this work in a warehouse? Concrete floor, 1 set of stairs going UP, floorspace is around 20x10m in total with 30% taken with racking/merch/boxes etc.

  • Looks eerily close to the Viomi S9 which has started giving my radar occlusion errors after a year of usage.

    • Different maker/supplier, it's a clone/shared design with Roidmi.

  • Seems to be back again now, this time at 40% off.

  • hmm this one doesnt make it to the list
    https://au.pcmag.com/vacuums/41460/the-best-robot-vacuums

  • Thanks OP, my mum has been looking for one and asked for advice on getting a Kogan (!); I asked her to hold off while I waited for something like this.

I have a Viomi but I rarely use it as it's such a pain getting obstacles out of the way first (2 toddlers in the house). That and the hair that gets caught in the rollers.

  • Whats the consensus on this at 40% off? still a good deal or wait for the next one?

    • you can check the history previous post on ozb and decide.
i just not convince with the mopping, i dont need something just dragging wet clothes

  • Comes in at $514 for me, including a ~$20 I have available:

Being an Ozbargain tight arse, it's not going to happen:

    Order Summary
    Items: $889.99

    Total: $889.99
    Promotion(s) Applied: -$356.00
    Gift Certificates: -$19.95
    Order Total: $514.04

    • Well yeah you're not going to get $499 on a deal marked as expired over 24 hours ago.

      • My virtuous patience shall prevail.

        ;-)

  • +1

I managed to purchase one of these in the expired deal. Just wanted to give the product my recommendation, having never owned a robot vac previously I was unsure of what to expect. i started with spotless floors (mostly hybrid with a small amount of carpet) manually swept and mopped prior to the robots first run. I have a small house about 14sq (unfortunately don't earn the Oz bargain avg. wage of 250k so no palatial mansion) and the vac filled the container on the first run, maybe this thing is good, maybe I'm just not good at manual cleaning.

All subsequent (daily) runs have picked up a significant amount of dust and debris (from what I'd consider a pretty immaculate house, I'm a bit anal), the machine also navigates really well getting in and under dining chairs and other furniture. The only downside to the machine is the lack of instructional material even though the machine is pretty much set and forget a bit more documentation about the app would be good.

    • manual sweep is bad… and very hard.
maybe try vacuum (the normal good powered miele or dyson vacuum) and then mop. then get the robot going (just to compare)

      • I don't know about that I use one of those big microfibre mop broom things the orange Oates ones. I think they do a pretty good job getting dust on hard floors

  • I got mine, but am thinking of returning it.

    Good stuff:
    * it handles rugs well
    * it handles obstacles better than its predecessor

    Bad stuff:
    * map size
    * recharge time
    * automatic emptying

The biggest issue is that it doesn't want to map the whole house. It goes so far and then just stops. I had the base at one end, and it only reached 2/3 of the way to the other house before declaring it was done and refusing to navigate any further. I then shifted it to the middle of the house and reset the map. It would then boldly go where it had not gone before, but wouldn't go all the way back to cover the other end. My conclusion is that it's only got a limited map size. I've sent an email to their support inbox to see if there's something else I can try.

Second the recharge time on this is pretty long. The first discharge while cleaning lasts about 2h15m (100% -> 15%) and the recharge back to 80% before it restarts took about 3h30min. Its predecessor didn't take anywhere near that long.

Lastly, the auto-emptying bin doesn't work very well once there's a critical amount of dirt in there. It just wedges in and doesn't empty. Probably not a problem ongoing, but if the floor is dirty, then you might need to be on guard to manually empty it.

Is anybody else having a similar problem?

    • hmm i dont have any robot yet but from my research the map issue could be because of this one doesnt use LIDAR.
recharge.. could it be like mobile phone i mean people say it need few cycles (full empty full empty) to get it to optimal ?

      • It has lidar. Thats the round part sticking out on-top.

        • oh sorry got confused with yeedi lol.. too much research

      • I wonder if it takes longer to charge because it's a bigger capacity battery and a more powerful unit. So the power / capacity ratio is about the same as the predecessor. But maybe the recharge isn't proportionally increased.

Either way, a full vacuum of the house is going to be something like 7 hours for a run/charge/run cycle.

    • Just to wrap this up, I got an email response from Uoni stating that there was indeed a limit to the map size, 220m^2. All in all, it just wasn't enough and I returned it
