LG C2 65 4K Smart OLED TV - 65" $2899 + Delivery ($0 MEL C&C) @ Countdown Deals

350

Was looking for Price Protection evidence for my LG C2 65" OLED TV and found this.

Definitely not as low as it has been, but lowest currently (easily) available…

CountdownDeals in Victoria have it listed as $2899 pickup or plus shipping

Example: Shipping to Brisbane came to $187.53 for a total of $3086.53 - still the cheapest around at the moment.

Never bought from them, but they have 2 locations and seem though might actually be operating out of Betta Home Living stores…

Additionally (although it shouldn't sway anyone haha)… LG tv's also currently come with 3months of free Apple TV+

I have a C2 42 that I got recently. I WFH most of the time and this wasn't a TV I got for that. I purely got for entertainment - movies, surfing, gaming. But after using it for work for a day, now i am addicted. Can I use it for work as well? Mostly coding in dark background and chrome. But that would increase the TV usage to 12 hours a day including movies and gaming. Brightness is set at 17 and contrast 70 which is plenty in my case. What kind of damage am i looking at if I use 12 hrs a day? Thanks.

It's impossible to completely predict what burn-in might occur, but from all the research I did, LG put a fair amount of effort into mitigation strategies and if you're using low brightness and generally dark themes then that'll help even further. Setting your Windows bar at the bottom to auto-hide will probably also help, and setting your screen-off settings to 1minute so whenever you take toilet breaks / get a coffee it's getting a break will probably help too.

Just remember, australian consumer law goes beyond manufacturer warranty and is especially relevant for things like OLED tvs

I have done all that, even auto-dimming is enabled. it does not kick in often at that brigtness. I have the other 27" DGF that I hate to go back to.

My work laptop does not allow me to set blankscreen after 1 minute - stupid IT policy, but they said they are working on that. So i just open windows explorer(which is full black) and go. Sometime I switch off the TV and go.

    • You'll be fine I have mine running WFH and general usage with HDR on (win11). Disabled the dimming too in service menu (you can use ColorControl to get into it)
      Here's a handy thread https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/mbpiwy/lg_oled…

      • Sweet, how long have you been using yours?

    • Only if your screen is not static, has movement aMF all, it’s fine play for 24 hours too.

  • Awesome deal

  • Best deal!!!

  • Thanks OP, been hanging out for a deal on this!

Good deal, but I'm still hoping the C2 models will have a bigger discount in the near future with the announcement of the new C3 models this week. I'd be happy if I can snag it for ~$2600 or less for the 65". Last month TGG's had it for $2636 with their 20% of LG TV promo which I missed out on.

For those who can't wait, getting this TV for under $3000 is pretty good.

    • Good to know! I'll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled over the next few months to see what other Price Protections claims I can make haha

  • It’s tempting… although the C3 is just around the corner, although doesn’t seem to bring any major changes other than higher brightness, integration of the TV speakers with Wowcast soundbars and quick switching between input sources.

Has anyone ordered through this website? I checked some reviews and a lot complained of delays.

  • It's a lot of money over what they were asking for the LG CS recently which for most people here I doubt you'd even notice the difference !

  • How does it compare to G2?

Appliances online advertised $2785 managed to price match both jb and good guys looks to have gone back up now. I'm going with the good guys not sure if i can share the text from jb.

    • When was this? I don't see it anywhere on their page…

  • Has anyone actually bought from these guys before? I haven’t heard anything from them and haven’t gotten a response to an email enquiry either.

    • Me either, submitted a question to them and no response. I’ll pass for now unfortunately.

      • Never did get a reply to my email but I was able to speak to them on the phone. Their hold message confirms that they’re associated with Betta Home Living.

All in all I think they’d be ok to buy from (I ultimately didn’t for other reasons), just probably better at being a bricks and mortar store than an online one.
