  • Do goodguys do price match?

    • +3

Yes. And depends on the person you talk to. In my experience, muzeebs are better than Karens.
Although I am still waiting for storecash from 20 December. It's a very dodgy and slow system, may not even send you storecash if you opt out from their spam emails / texts and often it's far later than 2 weeks to receive it as they process the orders in the background later than the actual purchase date. It does expire in 2 weeks which is again very dodgy

      • I was thinking of doing it via online.

You can call them and get a price match. Usually seamless..they send you a link valid for a week to make payment. Only one giftcard allowed so if you are using multiple, go to the store, show them the link and they will generate a sales order to allow payments through multiple giftcards

      • Who is a "muzeeb"? If you don't mind explaining?

Long story. Try a brown person if any in store. They are more understanding of the need to save money than a white person

This reminded me of the $100 Storecash I received from my recent air con purchase - but never used as i didnt know it had a 10 day expiry.. and it also is deleted if you uninstall the Google Wallet app (which I also did recently). A lot of loopholes.

Yeah its a bit scammy. I am meant to get a $80 credit for a coffee machine I got before christmas and they can't tell me when I should get it, no one has a clue.

Never received the $70 store cash from this deal. They have been very shady!

Same (mine was $80 because of concierge). I contacted them last week, the bloke told me he could c i was eligible and met the requirements but didnt know why I wasn’t paid. He was going to raise it with IT team and they’ll get back to me.

Same here. Never received a store cash from November deal.

Goodguys are bit dodgy with store credit. Bought a tv during black friday sales but never received store credit. Called them and was told it was deposited in my digital wallet which I didn't know of. And worst was it had already expired.

  • 2x Good Guys Store Credits from previous deals not received and they couldn’t give me a reason why they were never applied. Still haven’t received an oven top that was “In Stock” on 9/11/2022. Constant run around and any savings I have made have been consumed with Admin trying to actually get hold of this unit. I have no faith I will actually receive it and the Store Credit offers for this sale have expired because the unit was not delivered in time. Multiple friends and family in the same position as me. Good luck.

  • ie. Storecash: It worked first time, but didn't want to work 2nd time… It's very tiring jumping through hoops, not just with store cash, but all the rewards programs… Boosting points, activating offers and the like… boooo

  • What (tf) is 'PayPal Pay in 4' supposed to mean? I don't understand what this deal is.

    • +2

Just like most BNPL services, you pay for your item in 4 equal payments, each payment automatically deducted 2 weeks apart. I've used it so many times last year, worked without any issue.

      Like PayPal’s version of Afterpay

PAYPAL has changed owner. Now its a scam company who will withhold monies if you break some ideological rules they arbitrarily set or suspend your account. Its a waning company. Good riddance.

    • They are on the share market trying to rock the market. Budging on a slow justice system. I agree, hands off.

  • Do paypal perform a credit check when you sign up for pay in 4?
