Nice post OP and amazing TV.

Waiting for 77 to get below 5K. Ideally around 4.2k to 4.5k level would be a good deal…

    • +2

I got the 77 end of feb for 4.9k from The JB sale then…

Was trying to buy the G2 2 years ago when G3 came out and it never got to the lower price after that was trying to get the G3 when the G4 came out again never came down more.

Pulled the trigger this year with the End of feb beginning of March JB sale and it seems its not going to get that low again.

Seems because these Tvs are Top Top they never Reduce heaps in price and keep the old model high even when the new ones go on sale. Often they will be more expensive which is crazy for a Tech Product.

Great price for a great tv.

Wow this is a crazy good deal.

  • Wish this had 120hz bfi :( at this rate in never getting rid of my G1 77

      You poor thing!

Everyone's well nearly everyone's fav tv

Just call it OZBs favourite TV

  • Is this lowest ever? Can’t remember seeing it under $3k

    • +5

Had a quick look and does look like an all time low. The G3 65" went for around $2500 with some LG VIP deal, not sure if that was accessible to everyone though.

      • -4

Yeah but this is the G4

  • Does this come with a stand or wall mount?

    Edit: Looks like it does!

    • PSA model only comes with wall mount. The description they get from LG says both, but isn't specific for the model, so you could try your luck complaining once you receive it.

      • Oh. Thanks for confirming!

      • G3 came with a stand in a separate box.

      • Just messaged Appliances Central and they confirm that stand is included and will come in a separate box

    • Anyone on the GC looking for a stand can come have mine!

      • I'm confused now as LG is saying their online store stocks come with both wall mount and pedestal stand. Do you have the same model and did it came with the stand?

        • Weird, mine didn't come with a stand, bought through Retravision, model number OLED65G4PSA. To be fair I didn't check the model on the box, just looking at the invoice.

        • Just double checked the TV unit, the model number matches. (could hope they still have stock tomorrow and ask in store, or factor in the price of a vesa stand)

          • +1

@Thanges: Odd. I will need to ensure JB HiFi will provide the stand if it comes without it upon delivery! lol

        • I have model number OLED65G4PS
I got it from Harvey Norman

        • +1

Bought the 77" G4 last month and it came with Wall mount and Stand in separate box.

          • @Penguin30: Where did you buy it from and is it a PSA model? Curious especially since I thought the stand only comes with the 55 and 65 models.

  • +1
    • Yes, but still too much for a 55" IMO. I'll bite closer to 2k.

    Don’t need don’t need don’t need

      Don't need don't need don't need bought

Make sure to stack with the discounted Ultimate gift cards- here

    • never used these before can i buy 6 of them and use them on the one purchase!?

      • Also curious

      • +1

I think so, but it'd have to be instore. I remember using the same ultimate GC to get my iphone 15 pro max using 5 of those cards.

    • Thanks was wondering if there were any GCs going around

  • No delivery options to my address :( Ozbargainers' suggestions?

    • send it to mine - more than happy to take it

    I remember the 65”G2’s got down under $2500 ,
I’d like to see the 77”G4 get down closer to 3G ,
like they did in the American LG store this week
    for a 24hr sale,
    then I’m jumping on it

    • USD > AUD
      3000 usd = 4700 AUD

      • -1

        I know , I don’t care.
If they want my money ,
they’re going to have to have one hell of a clearance.

  • do u think the 77 inch will be on sale

    • It is: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/lg-77-oled-evo-g4-4k-uhd-…

Not ATL like the 65" but still a decent discount.

No point trying to time it but I'd expect to see all the G4 models start to get cheaper and cheaper.

      • +1

It's close to the cheapest 'with soundbar' price which was 5188 according to my notes. I think availability of 77 stock will become an issue

(edit: no delivery option for this size for me in Melb)

  • +1

Best to watch Videopro’s prices along with JB’s to gauge whether LG is giving out factory discounts to clear old stock.
They do tend to hang onto the very last of their larger sets , so you don’t want be in a tug of war for the last of the 77” or 83” C4’s .
You just want to time it when they’re clearing the bulk of what’s left as they make room in the warehouse for the C5’s.
Difficult to know unless you ask after stock levels from separate sales people in different stores.

  • Seeing everyone hyped about a $3K TV has me realise how many Ozbargainers are 'how the other half live'. One day….

    • Obviously not representative of all Australians' but Choice saw that the average household holds onto a TV for 7 years. For a $3k a TV that's $35/month. It's not really that expensive, if it's the centre piece of your relaxation time after work or to parent the kids after school.

      • Obviously a huge difference in quality but when you can buy the same sized TV from Kogan for $800 there are clearly vastly different shoppers / income brackets. I think the main difference I'm getting at is that while I could purchase this TV without feeling much of a pinch, it'd still feel like a lot of money to drop on a TV when my current 2019 Panasonic Oled is doing alright. But if I had even MORE disposable coin, I probably wouldn't hesitate jumping on this deal, the upgrade would be awesome.

        • +1

I have a 2018 model and I can't beat it. Agree with you this tempts me then keep on going back to how good this set still is by todays standards

      • Am I missing something? 7 years is how long a TV should last, not how long households keep a TV.

    • Only because of the under half price JB giftcards thanks to Telstra bonus gift card phone plan cancel return refund deal from last year .
Some called it unethical, some others called it the deal of the decade.

  • Feel like i wanna canvel c5 order and get this just for the mla. Though my family uses the older c7 i have with power saving mode. They find it too bright haha lol

  • Wow
I just bought this TV at Bing Lee $3200 including SG10TY soundbar. (they only had 3 left at the time , wheras 55inch was out of stock all stores)
JBhifi 55inch only 2 left all locations..

TV came wall mount and stand, (two separate packaging).

Sound bar though does not have any stand or anyway to upright it. Its design to be wall mounted.

    • How recent/location? Interested in possibly getting the same

      • The tv i bought was from blacktown bing lee.

  • +3

The price war continues! Appliance Central now lists the 65in G4 for $2980 with free delivery!

    • Would love to know if the tv stand comes with it

      • +1

It says it does in the description.

        • One Wall Design plus wall mount & pedestal stand included

        • Yep just read it again, must have missed it first time lol cheers and bought

      • Pedestal stand comes in a seperate box fyi.

    C'mooooon 77" G4 deal for ~$4.2k

Thanks for this - i went into my local jbhifi this morning, no one said hello or talked to me, checked the tv out, went to harvey norman, awesome salesperson but they had no stock anywhere, appliances online also says backorder - went onto jbhifi live chat, spoke with a very nice decent salesperson, gave me some extra discount, also added on the delivery and wallmount installation, paid today (Saturday) expecting to have it installed Monday, can't wait!!

    • I spoke with a great sales guy at JB today but no new stock anywhere or for delivery and felt uneasy buying the discounted display unit which would have been on all day every day for 12 months (despite full warranty)

      • Did they give you a good discount for the shelf model. I was given silly low discounts

        • +1

          2400 for the 65 inch

          • +1

@Rokobear: That's an awesome discount for display model, you could consider their extended warranty, but id prob just run with it as is tbh

  • +1

Far better than what I was offered. Good deal

    • +1

Instead I think I lost my Ozbargain license (and nearly my better half) by impulse buying the 77inch from video pro for 5270 plus the 300 gift card (which I'll use on a soundbar) … there was no 77inch new anywhere with delivery either or even 77inch in the Samsung 95D so FOMO set in and pulled the trigger at videopro despite the interstate road frieght !
