Well aint that a mouthful of a title.

Anyways found this deal through a Facebook (I know, I know) ad of all places, seems like a decent deal. Of course, gaming mouse is one of those things that the shape really matters more than anything else-the specs arent any shabby on these neither-so I would definitely checking out this 3d mouse shape comparison tool before making your purchase. Especially if you've never handled these mouse before, to get a feel for how they compare to the mouse you have and how they would fit in your hand grip wise. Do note these dont have much RGB to speak off (only on the scroll wheel), might better of checking @adamm12's deal posting here for a SteelSeries mouse with more rgb bling.

Spec wise, these are pretty close, both Prime and Prime Mini uses an optical 'SteelSeries TrueMove Pro', rated for up to 18000 CPI, 450 IPS and 50G acceleration, they come with 'Prestige OMâ„¢ optical mechanical switches' which are rated up till 100 mil clicks. Prime weighs 69g while the Mini goes for 61g. Prime+ uses 'TrueMove Pro+' and weighs 71g but this increases with the wire (You still need the wire as its not wireless, comes with a gimmicky oled screen for onboard control though).

P.S: If anyone is ever in the market for a cheap wireless gaming mouse at this price point, the Delux M800 is on Amazon AU for 49.95$. This is a well rated budget model on r/mousereviews and far better than any generic chinese gaming mouse you can find on kmart, kogan etc and is in essense a wireless clone of the razer viper mini clone with 3335, 70g and kalih gm4.0s thats rated for 60 mil clicks.

I'm so over steel series stuff. It's built to last the warranty and nothing more

  • I strongly don't recommend steel series mouses. I had a sensei ten 1 year ago and had to get it replaced twice. JB Hi Fi employees thought I was making up how the scroll wheel kept messing up and were skeptical until I showed them that the same issue had happened within 1 month of the replacement again.

For me the surfaces of the mice kept wearing in ways that made it uncomfortable to use. For example rubber reversion on some of their mice so the surface went sticky or the paint would flake off or chip off and you could feel the missing paint work.

Having said that I noticed they have changed the surface on their mice since I last used steelseries so it might not be an issue any more

  • I have this mouse (well wireless variant of it), and it's alright. It's bit heavy for what it is (I think wired version is lighter, but I think it's still on weighty side of things for a wired mouse). It feels nice in hand and it hasn't developed any shine yet (it's around 3 months old, so I guess it's not stood the test of time yet).

The click is noisy though, I once brought it to work, everyone did notice me clicking the buttons vs the razer Orochi v2 that I normally use)
