Niceee! I used 10% off Ultimate gift cards bought over the past few weeks to bring the price down by $200 - but you win for sure!
Oh yes.. i did pay $1955 using 10% off ultimate home gc… lol
@XedeX did you get $200 GC from TCL?
I received my claim approved email from TCL on 29th Nov and email said "Your digital gift card will be sent via email within ten (10) days." But still nothing…
A few days ago, I asked about that to TCL and they said "We value you contacting us and will respond within three (3) business days."
😮💨😮💨😮💨
I had exactly the same issue but it dragged on for nearly a month of back and forth and going around in circles via emails and their web form queries…..then they told me they sent it to my email address 2 x weeks earlier (they certainly didn't….no sign of it Spam/Junk folders or otherwise)…..then they couldn't seem to confirm the exact spelling of the email address they claimed it was sent to (I suspected they may have made an error manually typing my email address at some point)……..so eventually I called them on theTCL Promotions number (1800 850 713). They resolved it by sending the gift card email whilst I was on the phone to them…….the whole thing was sorted in less than a 5 minute phone call. I strongly recommend you to do the same because their email & web form query response and follow up is nothing short of woeful.
Thank you, @Wubes.
I have to make a phone call tmr!
Thanks again!Thank you. @Wubes
I made a phone call and got $200 TGG GC in 8 min.
Stupidly, I waited 24 days…🤤
Yup. Recieved it on the 10th day after it was approved. Funny part is, i haven't even recieved the TV. It's on back order and will be delivered early January.
🤣🤣🤣 lucky man!
I have the 65 and it's a really great TV. Sound is fantastic for a TV. I also have an oled and don't think the image is that much better than the C835.
Do you feel like you need a soundbar with this TV? That was going to be my next purchase, but if the sound is good enough I may just save some $$.
I don't feel like I need a sound bar with it at all. I do with my oled
I have the 55inch of this TV and I can confirmed the sound on this TV is great. Would buy a 75inch for $2000 in a heart beat if I was single and no one to complain..
I am currently pretending I'm still using the old Panasonic 55inch from years ago..
Also, which OLED do you have?
LG CS
Tempted for the 55
I think the 55 is out of stock. It says "add to wishlist"
Last years version 55C825 is $1111 + free delivery on appliance online's ebay store with code SNSDEC.
Best price for the 55C835 seems to be $1220 from videopro, could try price matching that at JB.
Anyone know if the difference between the two is worth the $109?
Depends if you need to return within refund/warranty periods
Just take in to any jb vs organising a 55" tv postage
I mean between the C825 (2021) and the C835 (2022).
Thanks
Purchased this from Retravision last month, managed to get it for $1449 (along with an extra $100 VISA card) and very happy with it. It's currently available for $1575 (and if you know someone with an RAC membership card can get it for $1496.25, I use my parents one and never had an issue with it being accepted).
Although have got some issues with it, mostly with regards to ARC and CEC with my Denon 1713, but just need to try a different HDMI cable to see if that fixes that. Other than that it's brilliant for the price.
Retravision is still a thing? I thought they burned out years ago.
More so in WA, yeah. Purchased a fair few things from them lately, seems to be they fly under the radar with pricing now that when something I’ve been looking at on JB/TGG/HN I’ve then gone to Retravision’s site and it’s been cheaper, plus throw in the extra 5% off.
Doesn’t apply to everything though, but a good other option for people in WA considering how many places don’t post here or charge an exorbitant amount.
timing is too convenient for this. I said to myself ill renovate my room and buy this tv, well I officialy finished Renos yesti and the TVs come back in stock today. is it a sign?
;)
I would wait until 24th when Boxing Day starts as all tvs over 75” come with free shipping
Agree - I pulled the trigger for the 75 in case it went out of stock again. Still beats paying a much larger premium for a Samsung or LG Mini LED.
I have 75" C835 and am very happy with it. It's my second TCL 4K TV.
You have to do calibration for every source.
Normal, HDR, HLG and Dolby Vision.
I think you don't have to touch sound setting, it's enough it self.It is consuming more electricity and making more heat than my old 65" QLED TV. I know new one is much bigger but specifications also said more consumed.
It's good TV and I look forward C935 model because C935 has more dimming zones.
I'm not gonna buy C935 next year due to I already have C835. But it makes me expecting the next models.Any tips on doing calibration?
I watched several YouTube videos(below links) and based on those, I adjusted my preference a little bit.

I have the 55" and just PSA the TV has horrendous coil whine when the screen goes pitch black. It's a pretty known problem and all over the whirlpool forums. Other than that it's a solid tv.
Yes… it makes something weird noise when it turned black screen stanby mode(not turned off screen, kind of eco stanby mode I think).
So I just turn off when I don't watch TV.(I use stanby mode)
Sorry I couldn't remember the exact terms of TCL TV.
I got the 65" in Black Friday sales and am blown away for how good the TV is for the price. I now see why so many people have been raving about it's value. Also having Google TV as the OS is fantastic.
It does take a bit to setup initially though as it installs firmware updates and apps that take FOREVER (Like at least an hour) but once that's done it's been a dream.
Also audio is great for TV audio. I see why the talk about it a fair bit in the descriptions.
I feel the same way. I also have an LG C2 in the house, but the TCL more than holds its own and nothing comes close to it in terms of value. Brilliant gaming TV.
Does anyone know the stand dimensions of the 65"?
Wondering if this will work with my existing tv stand.36.5cm x 32cm
Does anyone who has it wall mounted think its sticks out a bit?. Its a pretty chunky TV from the specs
What says the brains trust ? Are we likely see a better bang for buck in the next few months ?
Looking to replace my Hisense 65N7 and cycle it into the rumpus room.
There's a few of us still HODL-ing to not purchase this TV until it reaches sub $1.3k like this this deal. So, you're not alone 😬
If someone has coil whine issue when TV screen turns pitch black.
Coil whine will disappear when you Local Dimming function turns off or sets low.
Mine only happens when I set Local Dimming is high. For those in WA, SA or NT Retravision have this listed at $1575 and also take RAC cards for a further 5% discount.
You'll save a few $$ for icecreams for the kiddo's as shipping is also $14 less than JB 🙂
Only a day or so left though….
Got the 75 inch on black friday for $1955 from Good guys plus the $200 gift card from TCL and $70 storecash.. steal of the year for me.
