Good one!
Is it a good mesh system? I have more telecom fttn 100/20 plan..single storey house..internet performance is not that bad but thinking that by installating this mesh system will result in improving the performance in whole house? especially when we have lots of smart devices in house these days. Pls advise. Thanks
These are very robust and stable.
Depends on if there’s any blind spots with poor Wi-Fi reception/speed, in general most standard routers struggle to cover the whole house.
Also depends on your usage, m5 is enough for basic day to day use.I bought during black friday sale. Its pretty remarkable how far and fast I now get wifi in our 3 story house. It was very easy to set up and the app has a good feature to show which mesh you're connected to and the signal strength. This helped finetuned the placement and better understand which walls blocked signal. The app is also good at showing what devices are connected. The feedback I saw was to make sure to get a tri-band system (dedicated channel for mesh) and wifi 6. Avoid dual band if you have lots of devices.
Save the money you invest in a triband mesh system and get a sparky to run 2-3 cable ports through the house. With long distances the extra 5ghz band for dedicated mesh connection there will be limitation on speed and range.
EDIT: This is dual band version, i'd suggest paying a bit extra for the tri-band.
For ultra fast 1000/50 with iiNet plan I am on this is recommended by them, I upgraded from the m5. And wifi 6. $350 great price.
