  • how do these compare to using a wet/dry vac with an upholstery attachment?

    • Do a search and last time one of these Bissell machines was posted a bloke had used one of these with a Wet & Dry and said it was better than one of the smaller models of Bissell. I had a small Bissell which was ok, but broke after a few years (I wouldn't buy the small one again). I'm going to try this:

      • I just ordered similar off amazon - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B6P75N9L?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_…

seemed to get all the moisture out, need to do another test with the bigger vac though

      • How are these used? Wet the carpet/material with cleaner and then use a wet and dry vac with that attachment to vacuum up the liquid? But there is no fresh liquid being circulated through the head?

        • +1

Spray with cleaner solution, brush or microfibre (can use a rotary brush on cordless drill), alternate spraying clean water and vacuuming until what is vacuumed up is clean enough - that’s why the vacuum head is clear).

I think that person may have been me :P

And yes, Wet dry vac from Aldi with that attachments does a MUCH MUCH better job than this expensive toy.

Anyone remotely interested in buying one should head to JB or HN, ect.. beforehand and power on the vac to feel the suction. You'll see for yourself why this thing is a waste of money.

The suction power is beyond terrible!! You need to press down so hard to extract the cleaning agent it that its painful to use. Its very taxing and slow.

        • which attachment did you buy?

Dang. I just bought the SpotClean Turbo Professional for about $320. As far as I'm aware there's not much difference between Spot Clean Turbo and Spot Clean Turbo Professional (https://www.bowdensown.com.au/guides/how-to-use-our-car-care…)

Reviews state that they're really good machines with the only downside being that they're fairly loud (which I guess is expected for something like this).

You won't get anyone else who is able to do that pricematch. That was a fluke. Title is correct at $287 tho

    • +1

Yep, I might have been lucky. Although the sales guy in store didn't ask much. He simply said that he can price match no problem as long as I can show the price using my access.

    • +1

You sure? I asked in store 2 different employees if they would price match the commercial site and they comfirmed they would.

      • Maybe they've got Christmas sales targets to meet? Coz yeah, ggc and jb commercial is no go for pricematch

  • Is good guys commercial free to join?

  • Regular price at TGGC always.

In fact, was $280 until not that long ago.

    Paid $240 at SCA

    • For this one? No you didn't.

I got a new ferrari for 32k at toyota too… i mean they both have 4 wheels so yeah…

    • This is the TURBO

  • +1

waiting for the big version to go on sale

  • If you have carpet, I'd thoroughly recommend the Pro Heat 2x Revolution.

You can use the same spot cleaning attachments, but you have a big head to clean the carpet. Even with a small amount of detergent it picks up a huge amount of dirt

  • Has anyone used the Super Cheap Auto knock off version of one of these ?

    • Same thing but with car attachment.

Anyone getting these portable cleaners should only consider the turbo version

  • Damn!! I want one of these but have jb gift cards… and no access to commercial

    • Sign up for commercial. It’s easy

  • I picked one up cheap on marketplace, used it on a white fabric lounge, seemed to do a good job on the watermark tbough just slread te watermark wider so now need to do the whole lounge 🤣

  • How can you use gift card for the GGs commercial?

Gift Cards are not redeemable for purchases made from The Good Guys eBay store or from The Good Guys Corporate division (including goods purchased from the The Good Guys Corporate website). https://corporategiftcard.thegoodguys.com.au/CMS/Page/termso…

    • +1

You can't directly use gift cards on good guys commercial. You will have to price match instore by showing the price to a staff member (this is what I did and had no issues).
