    • We need this for our night club

    • Time to re-lay the building foundation.

    Thanks Op . Order 0

Mate…leave some for the rest of us

  • +2

This is better than that stupid cactus deal a week ago, 17k at Living Edge.

Out of interest, what would be front speakers that match with the power and quality of these?

    • +4

People would potentially run them with the SVS Ultra Towers or a range of dedicated cinema speakers

    • +3

If you're considering these (very solid deal imo) you're probably spending at least a few grand for some fronts - go to your local audio place and demo some. Find the sound you like from a variety of brands.

    • Get ccb8 from hsu research.

    • If you're having trouble integrating these could always look at room correction like Dirac Live (?). Whatever it is they don't need to have much authority below 80hz either by design or by tuning to let these things take on the work they were made for.

    Expensive cat scratching post.

    • it will last a lifetime if you don't have a cat

  • +2

prefer PB-4000 but could be a good deal for those that want this

can do you two PB-4000 for the same? ;)

    • I wish we could but unfortunately the only deal we were offered were on the PC4000's

    • those that want this

Yep I want 0 of this

  • +2

    That's a lot of woof

    • +12

      These are below woof ;)

      • +1

They must be the dogs balls then….

    • +13

Imagine installing these in the back of a Pulsar SSS

      • +5

My neighbour did a bit worse. $15k system in his company-supplied little work stationwagon/hatch.
He thought it was a hoot until he was fired without notice… and struggled to explain why he shouldn't be… and why he needs the car for another few days.

        • +2

Brutal! & stupid at the same time haha

  • Any deals for the PB2000 pro?

    • Sadly not, also no PB2000 Pro stock until 2nd week in January at this stage.

  • +3

Nice deal. Wife would kill me if I replaced my PB-2000 Pro (neighbours probably would too) but I can dream…

    • What if you did something like in the 1951 movie 'Strangers on a Train', but with the Store Rep.

…or just buy it and only use it when she isn't home.

      • +3

The wife issue isn't the bass output, she's all good with that, it's outlaying another $5k when I already have a PB-2000 Pro.
The neighbours, I am sure, would take issue with this system :D

        • +1

Correction, less than $4k, could sell your pb2000 pro for over a grand easily.

  • +1

    Maximum SPL?

    • 133 decibel @ 32hz from 1 metre.
Dual you can expect prob another few decibels I reckon… That's a lot of air movement. How big is your room, not jealous at all!

      • +1

Nah I am not getting this monstrosity. I am getting HEDD Bass 12… Room is very big with tall ceilings.

        • Bass is bass, hedd 12 be cheaper than this too.

          • @teereb: I already have a pair of Type 7 MK2 to match HEDD anyway. So, I am sort of limited now…

            • @Musiclover: Ah well then, keep branded generally does well together.

Until I build my theatre room, when I build my house, hopefully get a design started sometime next year when I buy a block, I'll keep my Frankenstein set up and live through others purchases until then.

              • +1

@teereb: HEDD has smart features where it delays the satelite sound to match the sound of the woofer. So it should sound better than anything else, good luck with your setup!

  • Thanks OP bought 2 to hook up to my bluetooth speaker to fill in that low bass and give me the earfquake experience.

Nah jokes but it would be cool if these were $51.99 and were 1/100 scale bluetooth subwoofers.

    • That would actually be pretty cool. Would love to see what it would sound like paired with a JBL Charge haha. Mini subwoofer sounds cute :)

      • +1

There was actually a product I remember that was a smaller version of a bluetooth subwoofer.
This was harder to find than it should be, but I found it. It's called the Minirig and they have actually released what I was thinking of now.

This was all they had a few years ago from what I remember https://minirigs.co.uk/speakers/bluetooth-minirig-3
Just the small speaker, but you could use one to just be a subwoofer I think.

But now they have this https://minirigs.co.uk/speakers/minirig-subwoofer-3
But the specs say "for use with Minirig or Minirig mini". So it looks like it only works with a Minirig bluetooth speaker.
On the user manual it says the two 3.5mm sockets work as both inputs or outputs, so it would work if you connected them all with cables but that means it's not a bluetooth subwoofer just an Aux subwoofer. https://files.minirigs.co.uk/subwoofer-3/Product-Info-MRS3.p…

All my bluetooth speakers only have 3.5mm input. No 3.5mm output which is needed for this Minirig subwoofer.
Edit: those prices are in british pounds BTW. Very pricey now I remember why I lost all interest years ago.

        • That looks pretty cool. Id quite happily strap that subwoofer under my desk with a 240v lead and no battery if the price was say 100ukp

    • earfquake

      Earthquake

      • +2

Sorry when I wrote that comment I was still being influenced by the Tyler the creator forum post.

  • Will this better then 2 x pb1000pro?

    • +3

Massively. 3 performance levels up the SVS range from the very popular PB1000 Pro

    • A single one of these will out perform dual pb1000pro; 325+ watts RMS, 820+ watts peak.

Dual pb1000pro will be under 5 grand though, might even get 3 of them for the price of one of these. That said, dual PC 4000 will still be solidly better.

      • You can EASILY get 3 PB-1000 Pro for under 5, I just bought two for 2700 shipped.

        • I guess the question is - since a single PC-4000 outperforms 2 PB-1000, can you get 5 PB-1000 Pro for under 5k? If not then this deal will give you more performance for your 5k.

  • +1

This is a really good deal. But I'd need to upgrade my speakers for it to make sense… bleh

    • Get new speakers later, this deal won't be around forever!

I'd be on it if the missus would let me, sigh. Single pb2000, non pro. Still rattles the house.

  • +3

Unless you have perfect room acoustics spending this much on audio gear ris a complete an Sutter waste of money. Even then, it also is.

    • Why do you need perfect room acoustics for bass?

      • -1

Why do you think you don't?

      • +1

The room affects the frequency response. Like when you hear a baseline in a song and one note is twice as loud as the rest, that’s crappy frequency response.

      • So what you're saying is… You hate women?

  • Thanks OP. Don't think I need these, but the price is tempting.

  • +2

Does the existence of a subwoofer also implies that there is a dom-woofer? Asking for a friend…

  • +1

Just out of curiosity, what kind of watts and how many subwoofers and at what sizes is my local Hoyts/Greater Union running at? It must be mindblowing. Coz these things on offer in this post are crazy too.

  • They look small in the pics. At half a metre diameter they are not!

  • +4

This or 2 google homes synced together?

  • +1

God damn this is bad timing…. I am so tempted to purchase these, but not sure how the wife would react right now when we are searching for a new house :)

    • +2

Early house warming gift. You'll really settle the foundations when you try it out. And subtly introduce yourself to the neighbours on the street.

  • God knows I want these. My wife knows I have no money. Deals I can't afford!!!

  • I don't strictly need these but I really dislike my neighbours, so….

  • Hey OP can you supply the PB13 Ultra upgrade kit?

    • Unfortunately we don't have access to those, do they still make them? Might have to reach out to SVS directly regarding those.

  • +1

    When does the promo finish?

    • It runs to the 6th of Jan, but I reckon stock will be fully sold out over the weekend

  • Wow very tempting. I have an older SVS PC-Plus 20-39 and that thing already provides plenty of oomph.

Pair this with the SVS sound path wireless connectors and the possibilities are endless lol

  • One speaker alone at 49.4 kg weighs more than my wife (just saying).

    • Hopefully you are strong enough to carry the subs up to the bedroom

      • +2

        2 speakers and his wife

  • +1

How do these compare to some random Anko Sub

    • What lol?

I know Anko, almost everything at Kmart is branded Anko. But they sold a home cinema subwoofer?
The only info I am finding is Anko soundbars, with subwoofer included.

  • Would these outperform 2 x PB 3000?

    • +1

      Yes they would

  • +1

Bunnings or officeworks price beat ?

  • if they were sealed I would get 4 . Ported are like undies with holes.

    • +1

      Depends what you're after…
      Music, sealed, movies ported.

  • That’s a great deal but I unfortunately I kind of need the opposite, 1 SVS 3000 micro

  • hard enough to setup one in a room with those low frequencies, how does one setup two without cancellation?

    • +1

The app helps a lot with that stuff. Alternatively if you're spending this much in subs (even half this tbh) get a mic, use REW, and or a DSP, I'd recommend a hd2x4, balances the room with your wishes, subs particularly.

    • +1

"how does one setup two without cancellation?"

      Head over to audiosciencereview.

  • Love my little SB12-NSD.

  • +1

Wow. If I didn’t have 2 x PB4000 I’d snap these up. An absolute bargain.

  • They look like garbage bins. Found them cheaper elsewhrr

  • +11
    • is that for real? how the hell are these so cheap….these were awesome value at RRP

      • +1

"how the hell are these so cheap….these were awesome value at RRP"

Nobody is buying them. Because the target market (majority men) think they look like a raging hot cock.
Don't look at me lol. I am just going by a comment on one of my bluetooth speaker posts that said "It looks like a cock, I am not buying it".
Like what? LOL I was going to reply, "but almost every bluetooth speaker is this vertical cylinder shape" but I just decided not to say anything.
Just straight up the weirdest response I have gotten on ozbargain, but it was bothering them that much that they did not want to buy something.
