  • Does this count for flights already booked before activation but that depart during the period? It's not totally clear in the terms

      Terms are clear. Unfortunately no:

Nice, but what I really need right now is a double status promo.

Stock up at Coles? Gift cards excluded but perhaps worth a shot to see if it's smart enough to recognise? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/742993

      • The only catch is that I haven't been able to find a way to see how you're tracking with your $100 spends. If you manufacture spend with gift cards you won't know it's worked until the end of the month when the status credits come in. So you either spend on GCs and don't get the credit or you still have to spend on regular groceries anyway at which point, why buy the gift cards.

Shop at coles and have auto-Transfer set up on flybuys.

4 Credits per $100aud spent. its not much but adds up.

I thought it was for status initially and got a little excited. Still a good deal though for some extra Velocity points :)

    • It's not double status, but you can get 2x SC per $100 spent

Literally booked a flight last night god damn it

    • In reality, assuming you spent typical $100-200, it's only a difference of 500-1000 points which isn't much in the scheme of things. Doesn't hurt of course, but it's not going to give any award of itself.

It can if you happen to book business class :)

"Bain Capital and Jayne Hrdlicka looking to prebook revenue in time for Virgin to be relisted on the ASX"

1+ months later, they are trying to pump up preorders before Dec 14th so the IPO must be getting close

HODL for the VTX 4090 Founders Edition fares

    • Not every promotion has to be about an IPO. They have an airline to resuscitate.

      • +1

Yep, just take a look back at promotions, they have had a promotion on of some sort every month, they always have, including pre Covid.

  • Do i need to book through virgin website or can book on booking.com?

  • I was reading the terms and conditions. What's an international Short Haul flight?

    • +1

The ones that go to New Zealand, Fiji and Bali (literally the only international destinations they fly to at the moment)
