Stepladder Saturday
Next post is going to be 1 step ladder :)
I have a 0 step if interested… great for getting to those things at eye level.
Or entry level
Looks like Bunnings only do the two step. I prefer to tango with Cosco
My house is 3.1m high. There is a manhole in the roof of one of the rooms. I want to buy a metal ladder that I can use to access the manhole from time to time to time, maybe once a year. Which brand and model you would recommend? Obviously it will be 6 or more steps! I am about 80Kg.
Thank you.Foldable > telescopic?
I mean if it's once a year then either is fine.
You’d need at minimum a 1.8mm step ladder but I used to use one of these:

Very light weight and easy to manoeuvre. I now have an attic ladder which is much better.
To be fair you'd struggle to find a ladder shorter than 1.8mm
Theres 2 posted in a row mate…
Get a rope ladder
One of these would do the trick for very occasional use. Compact and easy to store.

100kg? that's very optimistic for average Ozbargainer
what proficient in dark arts of Maccas and KFC app only hackery, and Menulog and Hungry Jacks vouchers possession
The Costco one is way better than this in my opinion
Yeh this one seems a bit short for many jobs around the house
It's good if you have a shorter member of the household who regularly wants to access the top shelf.
I currently have both, this one is more stable and better built.
Cosco is way taller, even just on second step, still a decent ladder, stable and the platform on the top is quite handy
The price ticket on the shelf at my store was the standard yellow one showing $49. Not the orange 'sale' ticket they usually use, so it seems like $49 is our normal price?
oh no step ladder what are you doing im stuck .
oh how I yearn for the Masters' days where a 3-step ladder cost $15 (or $16?)… just wishing I bought a couple more!
RIP Masters 😭
Wow, youre a dedicated sub…
Save your tears for another day
This is why Masters no longer exist, on a serious note, Masters employees are a bunch of clowns, their knowledge of the product they're selling is almost zero.
Ladder for replacing light globes indoor.
Go one at home. Compact fold and quite sturdy compared to 3 step ladders. Good for taller people (>170cm) for odd jobs around the house as it is just the right height. I find that you'll have to bend your head more often than not in a standard 2.4m high ceiling home if you use an 3 step ladder instead. If your ceiling height is more than 2.4m, or you are shorter than average, then I suggest getting a 3 step ladder.
Bought this one today, two wide steps, better ergonomics and cheaper $29.

The other one, even for $49, it seems overpriced.
Plenty of these models around. Here are stock levels…
