Cheaper by the gazillion… also cheap to build on a single H/W platform if you can…
Talk-time low IMO, & an Indian review says it only plays SD MP4 videos, but -not- all such videos play correctly; read review for details:
OS is describes only as "Series 40" (Nokia's own)?
It's said to be "Recommended for Rural use" but -nowhere- does it say it's Next G capable, so I'm wary of that claim. (Not found on Telstra.com)
Speak (ie, singular) said to be loud & fine for music, but probablu -not- stereo as older ones, eg, "n95 8gb" & similar.
We have people who'd have it, but -only- if it's Next G. Is it? If you say yes, where's evidence?
JB is a Telstra dealer. If they sold a phone with 3G then it'll be the 850 version
According to GSMArena it does support 850mhz, so it will be next g compatible

Series 40 means symbian. The phone itself is actually quite new, apart from the 1ghz processor though there's nothing much specs wise in it.JB only do Telstra deals anyway and from looking at the phone you can tell its supports Next G
Includes a lot of 3g spectrums- including 900 and 850 - in addition to GSM http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_asha_300-4279.php
This is a GREAT deal ! Just bought from JB, after going to Dick Smith who wouldn't come down to $99.00 -best they could do was $119 and that didn't include $30.00 gift card. Also went to Office Works who WOULD price match $99.00 BUT NO $30 gift card. Was told by Dick Smith that JB MUST have alot of stock to get rid of. Then went to JB and got the phone (black only) with $30 gift card…comes to $69.00 with $10.00 Telstra calls (which expire in 14 days anyway)….All Up VERY Happy with purchase and it does have 3G capabilities.Reviews online give the Nokia phone pretty good ratings.(FYI..The attendant at JB COULD NOT believe they were also giving away a $30 gift card too !)…Thanks webtherapist
it's locked to telstra. anyone know how much is the unlock fee?
Good deal, but 1ghz on a dumbphone? Isn't that overkill?
