    Synology is known for having a decent and easy to use software suite, so really should be just the ticket for a NAS noob.

  If anything it's for use as a straight file server for a home user really due to the older/low power CPU and limited RAM. Don't expect to be running any VMs or Plex transcoding off this thing. Could work well as a backup to a second NAS.
