  • So the only difference between 3 and 3s is the quiet clicks?

    • S for silent clicks

      • Its barely noticeable - check here. I've linked to a comparison between old and new models:

        https://youtu.be/zqVy0xTI5Uo?t=200

The reviewer talks about the new buttons feeling "mushier".

3S has the newer "bolt" receiver. Not sure it adds much either.

        • +2

mushier but in a good way IMO

    • it also uses the new logibolt receiver (bad because it's not compatible with the unifer stuff) and has a higher dpi for glass surfaces.

  • Can Mx 3s be used for gaming?

    • +3

As an owner of one, it's not ideal. There's a bit of latency and the weight doesn't do it any favors.

      For office use it's fantastic

Any mouse can be used for gaming. I use the MX3 and MX keys for gaming all the time and it's great. Unless you're super pedantic (or competitive) it's not going to matter.

      • Not my experience. I have the MX Master 3 (not S) and it is horrible for FPS gaming. The latency is extremely noticeable. I bought a Razer gaming mouse and went back to using the MX Master 3 when it was charging and couldn't believe I tried to use it for so long. It's deadset awful.

For office use it's great, my daily driver. Using it right now.

    • +1

It's comfortable, probably not the best option for and FPS as the scroll wheel rattles when flicking the mouse around.

    • as a better then casual gamer - yes. I use it everyday because I like the large size

        …thats what she said…sorry couldn't help it

    • I use an mx master 1 for gaming 😂

    • I use the MX 3s for gaming… and as my day to day office mouse, best mouse I've ever owned.

  • Thank you.

I was waiting for the white version to go on sale, but at this price I need to pull the trigger. Thx OP

All these years I have collected unifying receiver now this bolt thing has come up 😑

    • +2

Now you can start collecting bolt receivers

  • +3

Once I went with the 3S's scroll couldn't go back to normal scroll.

Recently got the 3s mouse and keyboard and so glad i did. Absolutely awesome feeling keyboard, so "comfortable" to use and the mouse improves productivity for those using multiple tabs or deep in word/excell and spreadsheets etc and is very comfortable in the hand. They would make a great gift for someone who is on their computer all day.

Too bad cant install the software to customise buttons on most work laptop or pc

      • Yeah, that’s bloody ridiculous. Peripherals marketed towards productivity and it’s been months without a solution.

      • Hi ChilMot could you pls confirm if the 3s is compatible with Options? My work laptop won’t let me install Options Plus so I could only count on Options 🥹🥹🥹

        • I dont have 3s but new logitech devices all using logi plus. So you could install logi option at work laptop but not logi plus? Weird

          • @CyberMurning: Yes I had to submit a ticket to get approval to install Options. However due to VPN and the installer of options plus is not a full offline installer it’s been blocked - so I cannot install. Unfortunately.

            • @HeyJes: Hmm you gave me idea maybe i can submit ticket as well.
Yeah mx key, lift using plus.
And just recently they upgraded mx trackball advanced to plus. So now all my 3 are under 1 software. Sweet.

            • @HeyJes: Just go into the office and get them to do it there?
              OR,
start the install. Once you get past UAC and about to click the install button, get off the vpn. This should work for you.

              • @Lord Ra: Thanks for your response Lordra. I have to lodge a ticket as this is the standard process. I won’t have the authority to turn off the VPN either. This issue cannot be resolved unless 1) I waste a lot of time trying to re-contact IT and 2) Logitech releases a full offline installer.

    • Couldn’t agree more. IMO the best productivity mouse, has so many options for customization for individual apps.

There's nothing easy about the easy switch, you have to switch keyboard and mouse separately, they don't talk to each other. Super annoying to flip the mouse over and then cycle through 1, 2, 3.

Being "premium" models in the line up, you would expect pressing 1, 2, 3 on the keyboard automatically switches the mouse.

    • That would be amazing. And wish the button is on the top (for mouse) so we don't have to flip

Be aware if you buy both that MX Master 3S using newer 'Bolt' receiver while the MX Keys uses older 'Unifying Receiver'
So if you're using the USB dongles you'll need two ports for both dongles. However, both support Bluetooth.

    • MX Keys Mini uses Bolt rather than Unifying though I believe

  • Mine arrived today. Upgraded from a Sensei Mouse I have had for 7 years.

I like it so far. Silent clicks feels a little weird. Give me a couple of days of use to make up my mind about whether I like it more than Sensei

  • Anyone knows if this is compatible with Options (apart from options plus)??

    • 99% im sure its plus

      • Oh no. Dealbreaker until they release a full offline installer of Options Plus for my work laptop :(

        • Yeah i feel you. Now using the same mouse for work and personal and sometimes i click a button without realising and get different result haha

          • @CyberMurning: If I can’t install options plus on my work laptop it means I won’t be able to customise buttons of MX Master 3s… :((

  • keyboard back in stock

  • Dang it, I just missed out but a couple of mins. I was checking out and the clock ticked over.
    Oh well.

  • Turns out Logitechshop is Fluidtek… looks like Fast Eddies still in business!
