Hmm… could be better. The Kingston ram is Hynix M-Die… which is the best you can get at this price point (for overclocking). In the past month some Hynix A-Die (even better) is out… but that's >$500 (cheapest set) and runs at +7000MHz
RAM overclocking lol. When has RAM ever been a bottleneck for an average person?
Ram speed is so much less important than latency.
@initiateit: For applications where latency is more important, better just to go with DD4.
Better gains in a lot of games improving the latency of RAM than overclocking the CPU. An average person has never done any of that.
@Clear: Examples?
Don't buy A-Die for Ryzen. M-Die is what you want.
Not bad, over the sales this weekend I've managed to put together the following
7700x - Amazon - $528 before $20 cashback, and Aldi gift cards - $458 after
Asrock B650M PG Riptide - GG Tech eBay - $233 (using 22% off code for eBay plus
Team T-force Delta RGB 32gb DDR5-5600 - PCCG - $239 plus delivery ($15 but I added other things so shipping impact reduced)
So tad over $100 more for better CPU and additional ram (in white which was key for me), took a bit of effort to work through all the deals etc…
Thats definitely nice and you get future compatibility.
is white ram better :P
No but usually more expensive for no reason :D
I just purchased a 7600x + mb + ram, and immediately felt some regret when I saw someone say they got a 13600k + mb + ram for near the same price from shopping express with 10% off. I didn't realize 13600k has many more cores and greater multi-core performance (albeit at high power usage, similar single core performance).
Yes 13600k is better than 7600X. You miss upgradability tho.
No need to really feel regret. It's still a super fast processor and unless you are frequently doing large multithreaded workloads, you won't notice it.
Plus, if you do need extra performance in future, there will be Zen 4 3D V-cache options and eventually Zen 5 & Zen 5 3D V-cache in 2024. (Zen 5 should be particularly interesting)
Thanks. Feel less regret now.
You'll be cheering in a few years when you can upgrade to Ryzen 9000 series on same board for massive performance improvement
6 cores for 843$ is a bit more expensive. AMD should have included atleast 8 cores in the 7600X to remain compatible with 13600K.
Damn, a case of, ah ill buy it in the morning after ive thought about it a bit more, expired
This is cheap, without the RAM… use the code to get 22% off (plus discounted eBay gift cards?)

Other, better bundle available too from the same seller (or GGP… same seller also)
I went the x670 option with the 7700x, felt like a great deal.
