Do I really need it?
Not speaking like a true ozbargainer.
No
Not if you've been able to get by without having owned this in the past, plus these are rubbish quality
@hamza23 $5,271.17 saving (10am lightning deal, down from $5295) sounds amazing :)
Don't get screwdriver bits that are not impact rated.
Only if you intend to use them in an impact driver. Otherwise it's fine.
For my impact driver, I got this set at the start of the Black Friday Sales for $38. Already arrived. Very nice selection.

Yes but why buy them if you can't? Smarter to get versatile bits that you can use impact and regular.
Those look good.
How about this one?

Really poor quality stuff. Used one of the drill bits on the day they arrived and it broke!
Havent used the others yet but if i really wanted cheap quality i wouldn’t have spent so much!
Why did I just buy this?
If you find out, let me know? Maybe that's why I bought it.
2nd that :)
I think I bought it because these are a good backup for when the Wera screwdriver bits and the Kango drill bits fail in 10-20 years time.
But then, I already have backup stuff in the smaller tool bag.
Maybe when the backup fails I can use these.
Did you buy for the same reason?

Which one is better?
https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07P6PKR4S or the one you've linked? both look similar and have some number of pieces.
What a weird combo set…
is this better than green?
If you need masonry drills then you really should be using the SDS rotary hammer system which is far superior to conventional hammer drills.
Maybe if your needs are very limited and you already have a decent hammer drill this would be OK but for anyone else put the cost of this towards an SDS system, even an el cheapo, you wont regret it.
You only get 5 masonry bits and the rest is all screwdrivers and nutsetters.
I've been looking for a bit set that has the following features:
* Impact rated
* magnetic nut setter in 1/4 or 6mm, 5/16 or 8mm
* magnetic bit holder
* magnetic PH2 (without the need to put it into a magnetic bit holder as it lengthens the whole driver bit)
* 5 & 6mm hex
So far, haven't found one yet.
I use a a magnetiser for my screwdriver and bits like this:
https://www.bunnings.com.au/trojan-demagnetiser-screwdriver_…
Only takes a few seconds to magnetise, and should be strong enough for a few hours.
Good idea but probably identical to this at half the price
https://www.repco.com.au/en/tools-equipment/hand-tools/-5-10…
Bunnings are good for price on some things but never assume they won't maximize profits where possible.
I had no idea that such a tool existed! Will grab one for the workshop. Repco FTW. Cheers.
Will give that a go
