Such an excellent performing scooter for the price and one of my favourites. I did a write up of it here in a previous deal.

    • What hill gradient is this to?

      • +1

Dual motor so it'll handle pretty much anything.

    • I've been on the hunt for a new scooter and read your previous write up comparing the Bolzzen Commando to the Dragon Cyclone Pro.

      Specifically you noted:
      Wheels:
Bolzzen Commando - 10" Pneumatic Tyres
Dragon Cyclone Pro - 10" Inflatable Tubeless All-Terrain Puncture Proof

As somebody who has never (but know somebody who did) experience a pneumatic tire go flat on their Ninebot F40a - it was a real pain to change. They ended up going to a bicycle store, who replaced the inner tube for them.

Wondering what your thoughts are regarding this when comparing the Bolzzen vs Dragon Cyclone? I couldn't find 100% confirmation that the Bozzen Commando is in-fact tubeless (as both tubless and tubed Pneumatic tyres exist)

The other issue is that I was hoping that the Dragon Cyclone Pro would go on sale for Black Friday, but unfortunately it didn't.

      • I'm fairly certain the Commando tyres have tubes. The trick is to get some green slime from Big W and apply that to the empty tube, then fill with air. After about 1000km on another scooter I was going from 50psi to 35psi overnight. Applied more green slime and it's been good for a further 200km.

      • Forgot to mention. Bike Scooter City never have sales on their Dragon scooters ever. They advertise them as being "on sale" all year round with fake sale ending countdowns and fake RRPs on their website.

Add code BF10 for another $10 off

  • What’s the situation like riding pev’s around bike trails in Sydney? Heading that ways for Xmas wanting to prep myself

    • Don't get caught by the cops. Hardly an issue outside of the city.

      • Ahh nice any recommendations for a good trail ?

        • Unfortunately I don't live in NSW

  • Hey I have a zero9 and a g30.
Even if the zero9 is more performant it's always broken as the build quality is absolutely crap.
I use the g30 every day and the build quality is awesome, and I love the tubeless tires (never had a flat tire on them, I stopped counting the flat tires on the zero9).
What's the build quality of this one compared to a g30?

    • I stopped counting the flat tires on the zero9).

What's the PSI level? Using slime?

  • Came up on my google feed, not sure how bone-fide this site is but worth a look:
    https://wonderfullytech.com/top-five-best-chinese-scooters-o…

  • What's the difference between the Bolzzen Commando and the Commando Class 4822D?

    • Nothing. Bolzzen Commando Class 4822D is the full name.

      • Thanks Clear

  • Quick question, is this the upgraded model or the original? What is the main way to tell the difference?

    • Doesn't the upgraded model have Zoom Hydraulic brakes, firmer front suspension cartridge and beefier/improved stem latch. I'm sure Clear will have the answers. If not you could ask Ride Hub https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47LPpJpZzEU&ab_channel=Bolzz…

      • Yeah, that's the vid I found too. I can't really tell from the pics or description whether it's the upgraded model. If Clear doesn't answer, I'll hit up Ride Hub.

  • +1

If you read the last comment from 2 months ago of the YouTube vid posted above. Bolzzen states:
"Yes any or our retailers that have stock would definitely be the updated model. Next shipment is around 2-3 weeks away" Posted 2 months ago.
I would say a high chance of getting the updated model. Fingers crossed, i've ordered one!

    • Nice! I still am unsure whether to take the leap! The little amount of reviews I've seen have been positive, but even though it's discounted, it's still $1,500. What to do?!

      • I think for the money ($1380 odd with Cashrewards cashback for me) it's hard to beat. Spare parts and support should be half decent as Bolzzen are an Aussie company. I was considering the Dragon Cyclone/Cyclone Pro & VSETT 9+ (friend has a VSETT 10+ and rates it highly)
Cyclone has a smaller battery, Cyclone Pro and Vsett 9+ are $500 more expensive.

      • Says only 2 items left. Not sure if that is a marketing ploy or not but it said 7 when I got mine.

can we just pause to admire this thread for not having a certain Victorian shitposting about the legality of e-scooters in their state?

  • So have just been informed by ride hub that the Bolzzen Commando is out of stock and would take "some weeks" to be available. They tried very hard to upgrade me to the Mearth GTS EVO Max for an additional $836. This does look like a better scooter but the price they are offering is $50 more than it can be picked up at Harvey Norman so definitely not a deal.

Makes me wonder if it was a bait and switch plan the whole time.

    • +1

      Oh wow.

So I purchased the Bolzzen Commando when there was 1 left. I purchased on Friday night and received a phone call early Saturday morning saying it was sold out and they also tried to upgrade me to the Mearth GTS EVO Max for roughly $2200. I politely declined and they then advised they would find out on Monday morning if they could get it in stock for me.

Anyway I wanted to be proactive about this, so I called on Monday and they gave me the same info (and tried to upgrade me again). They then advised that they would let me know later in the week whether they could organise it.

I called back today and they advised unfortunately they can't get it for me and have no idea when stock would be received. I advised I would like a refund to which they said it will take 7-10 business days to organise. As all this has happened over the phone, I decided to jump on mydeal and send a message advising of the above and requesting a refund (to get everything in writing). They replied through the system and advised that they have put a refund request.

Personally, I didn't have any reason not to believe the situation as I purchased the last one, however I was a tad annoyed that every time I called I had to remind them who I was and my issue. I figured I was the only one in this situation, so it wasn't hard to forget of my (personal) issue.

Seeing what you wrote on the 25th when you noted that there was 7 left when you purchased yours, then yeah that's really odd.

And, the reason I chased them up for a refund is because a) this isn't a cheap purchase; b) I fee like every time I called, they weren't fully aware of the situation.

      • I just received this msg from them……

        Good day

I hope this email finds you well. Thank you for your order Bolzzen Commando.

Unfortunately, we are currently out of stock for the Bolzzen Commando, we?ve been told by our supplier that it will take some weeks for a new shipment to arrive.

We will recommend the Australian brand, Mearth S PRO, with a top speed of up to 25-32Kph and a maximum range of 40-45Km. This scooter can carry a load of up to 100Kg and is currently on sale at $799.

Mearth is an Australian brand of scooters. which means it will be easy for you to find parts here in Australia. They have dedicated after-sales support that can easily be contacted through calls, chats, and emails. And most especially as the oldest Australian brand, they focused more on the premium side.

        Mearth S PRO Specification
        TOP SPEED- 32kph
        MAX RANGE-40-45km
        WEIGHT1- 3.5kg

Let me know if your interested in higher top-end performance, NO DOUBT, the Mearth S PRO is definitely the choice to go with, with a higher top speed and much better range, as well as generally more accommodating features. The Mearth S PRO is certainly a more comfortable ride.

Mearth S PRO is currently priced at $799, it is in stock and ready to ship. If you take my offer we will refund the price difference.
        ?
Thank you and have a great day

        Best Regards,

        Joy

        • Yes I had ordered a Xiaomi scooter 3 through them for under $500

They then called telling me some BS about how they have been recalled (they haven't) and if I paid another $250 I could have a mearth… Not interested. I've called them 4 times now asking for a refund, and am still waiting. I'll just raise a dispute through PayPal if it's not sorted today

          • @Eatoff: Yeah as said before it looks like a typical bait & switch tactics from RIdeHub.
Out of interest it would be good to know if anyone who ordered from the last deal has received their Commando yet?

  • Suffice to say I am going to ask for a refund!!

  • +1

Update I just received a call from a rep at Ridehub saying they now magically have stock of the Commando and would I like to continue with my order? LOL! No thank you, refund please, I have lost all confidence in RideHub!

FYI I have had a long conversation with Christian from Bolzzen updating him on what's going on with RideHub. I won't get into the details on here as it was a lengthy conversation (PM me if need be) and he is keeping a close eye on things as he is very proud of the Bolzzen brand and wants to provide great service & support for customers.

Suffice to say if anyone is interested in a group buy for the Commando? (I'm still looking to buy) Christian can help facilitate if ordered directly through Bolzzen or you can order through the other Bolzzen dealers (Scooteroo in Perth is my nearest dealer) if you would like to visit a bricks & mortar store. Obviously the dealers dictate there own pricing and we couldn't get the same $1562 pricing but I would be happy paying just a little more for peace of mind and a warranty actually being honored.

    • What price are we talking?

  • Another update. I received a refund from RideHub….thank god! Unfortunately other haven't been as lucky as I have and are still patiently waiting.

C'mon RideHub do the right thing and refund peoples hard earned dosh for a product you never had in stock to sell in the first place!

    • I finally got a refund out of them yesterday. Called them 4 times and nothing. Called mydeal directly and they told me to call ridehub… So I just disputed the transaction via PayPal and suddenly someone at ridehub pulled their finger out and processed the refund. Never again with ridehub.

    • I thought I'd provide an update in this thread regarding my refund situation.

I called Ridehub on Wednesday 07/12 asking about the status of my refund (as it had been 8 days already - and surely a refund shouldn't take this long). Anyway, I was told I'd get a call back once the status of the refund had been found out. In the meantime, I decided to be proactive and call Mydeal directly. They couldn't do the refund themselves directly, however they could see all correspondence (including the original refund request and acknowledgement 8 days ago). They sent an urgent message to the seller asking for the refund to be processed immediately.

Within an hour I had received an email from MyDeal stating it had been completed and I should get the funds within 3 business days. About 45 minutes after this, Ridehub sent an email and called to advise the refund had been completed. They also confirmed that they had processed the refund about an hour ago, to which the first thing that came to my mind after hearing this was well what happened over the last 8 days when the refund was supposedly organised?

Anyway, I'm just happy to have finally received my refund. Moving forward and with the recent experience, I definitely won't be shopping with Ridehub (regardless of what sales they have).

  • I missed everyone's updates about. I received the original email offering the "upgrade" which I declined and have now just received an email today telling me that the product is no longer available and they are refunding me.

What are people's thoughts about putting in a bunch of complaints to the ACCC?

  • So after giving up on ride hub and getting my refund I ordered the Joyor s10-s from Alibaba for US$680 +US$200 shipping. Total was $1310 and I might have to pay GST/duty but still reasonable given it is the dual 1,000W motors.

I am still planning to give bad feedback/reviews about ride hub to Bolzzen, google, and maybe fair trading because they deserve in light of all the other comments.

    • Ohhh, thanks for the tip on the Joyor s10-s. It looks absolutely identical when I compare the pics and 1000w on each wheel seems awesome.

Do you have a link to the AliBaba page where you got it for so cheap? I can only find it on there for about $1,600aud.

        • I believe the Bolzzen are just rebadged Joyor scooters but I don't have much experience or knowledge in this space and am mostly just watching clear's OZB posts. The shipping is 40-60 days too probably because it can't go by air.

        • Thanks so much! I'll do some research.

          • @WadeOhh: So I got an email (as opposed to Alibaba message) from the guy and it turns out he works for Joyor. I assumed he was just a reseller but good to know I am getting it directly from the manufacturer. I'll try to remember to post an update after 40-60 days when I receive it.

            • @AsSeenOnTv: I hope to hear your update in the future. Still on the fence a out the Joyor.
