Thanks!
TN panel for anyone wondering
Not a bad buy, need a spare monitor, but not sure I can get a TN panel.
Thinking 4k is overkill, given I'm likely to often run it at 1080p too and I doubt it'll look crash hot that way.
This is an ancient TN panel, renowned for being horrible, and probably half the reason why there were no more 4K TN panels. TN has significant vertical gamma shift, and the pixel density of this would likely show that off significantly, alongside that this is not a good resolution and refresh rate combo for gaming.
I am a fan of TN, particularly modern TN, but for this kind of monitor I implore you to wait for a $250-$320 4K IPS monitor sale, and there should be plenty over the weekend.
Officeworks got away with the old QHD 144Hz panel the other day - just - but this is belongs on the scrapheap.
i think you're gonna be waiting a while for even a 4k IPS at $250 $320 though…
All TN is awful. IPS is also over-rated. My preference is for S-PVA.
OLED?
So where are these 4k monitors for the price you speak of.
So far it's through card and/or cashback stacking:

Thanks man.
