    Sharp deal…

I know it's expensive for an umbrella, but I think it's worth it (I've got an older version of the Coupe). I've had mine for over 6 years and it's still going strong.

    • Agree if you dont lose umbrellas they are really good. Especially in wind that woulld destroy others

  • +9

Some of the Metro's and Classics are slightly cheaper at rushfaster and catch at the moment.

I have a few older versions of the umbrellas (eg Blunt XL, now called Blunt Exec). Excellent umbrellas. Well worth the money..

Looking back at the invoice from a few years back, I only paid $85 for it!

  • +1

    Hmmmm executive or sport?

  • +1

worth every cent, best umbrellas out there

Melbourner does not need an umbrella at all.

  • +1

Great umbrellas. I also had an issue where I lost a part, and they replaced for free.

  • +6

I'm not too sure about these. I find normal umbrellas to be more eye-catching.

    • that's a bit blunt!

      • Sharp comment

Too expensive for people like me who lose umbrellas all the time, otherwise great deal.

    • +15

spend 100 on an umbrella you never lose it

      • Also don't lend it to anyone who has never paid $100 for an umbrella themselves…

(Technically I didn't lose mine, so this theory is correct and seems like real science)

      • Lmao… Life lessons from OZb

      • I'll be the exception that proves the rule.

In my research, I've found other quality collapsible umbreallas to be smaller when collapsed but of the same/similar diameter when opened.

    • +2

Would you mind posting your research notes? I'm very interested in what you found out.

      • +1

Yep. So for example, the Doppler: https://www.dopplerumbrellas.com.au/doppler-fiber-magic-umbr…

Cheaper, still wind tested, only 27cm collapsed and 98cm diameter.

Great quality, when wind overwhelmed the shape and form of it, it would just bounce back, no bends or distorition. It is a single person umbrella mainly. Compact enough to carrry in a small man bag too. Auto close and auto open which is magic. Sydney Umbrellas has a great range.

Who buys an umbrella anyway? You can get them for free at the coffee shop in those metal cans.

    • +7

      Quite a steal

Save another $5.60 on the Metro by getting the Limited Edition

$50-60 is bargain price range - this is just normal discount

    • +1

They really haven't discounted in a long time

  • +2

    Can we smoke these?

    • Sure — but don’t accidentally hit the quick-release button or it will blow up in your face

  • Got excited and jumped on this without looking at previous deals…hmm could have done better. Oh well, from the sounds of it these will last a long time so worth it.

    • +1

Got excited and jumped on this without looking

It’s more of a stress test if the umbrella is open, but in any case these are built to last

    • They are the best wind resistant umbrellas I've ever used, and I've had a few different umbrellas. I have an older model but it's built to last

  • Rushfaster has cheaper umbrellas for the original ones i think or at least the compact version

  • I ordered the metro slightly cheaper through Rushfaster. Purchased the sports umbrella earlier in the year and it was great at school sporting events, handy to keep me and extra spectators dry. It is large though!

  • Are these better than Bunnings umbrellas?

    • so this may be just my experience, but I feel like they've dropped in quality quite a bit my younger brother lost our trusty bunnings umbrella and we bought a new one last one winter and the top broke so that the umbrella slides down the handle it was quite a shock

  • +1

    Metro UV. Absolute bargain.

  • -1

Bunnings umbrellas are great, recommended for $10

  • Got the metro, hoping it’s worth the price 🙏

  • Thanks! Brought a metro.. hope its good!

  • We have owned a Metro, Classic and Golf (now called Sport) for a decade and they're still going strong. Provided you don't lose it I feel like they'll last a lifetime.
