  • Not a bad price. Should be the historically lowest?

Cheaper at Amazon and I am sure most around here have already used up their perks.

    • Still have my $10 perk, and for $69 considering popping up to the JB during lunch for one actually….

      • +1

For 69, happy to talk about the first thing that pops up!

        • tcn added. down to 58.65

      • in the jb store i go to they price match amazon, so price match and then use the $10 perk

  • +1

Looks like it doesn't have PPS for samsung devices?

  • +8

I had to return mine as I could not tolerate the coil whine. The replacement unit was no better.

    • damn that's a shame. I was hoping it's been fixed so I can grab it

    • +1

I saw some warnings about this in reviews and ignored them because I don’t usually notice things like that. Holy moly does it get loud though!

    • +1

      Thanks for the heads up!

  • Are these worth it? Anyone suggest a better one?

    • If you don't need that much W, I can highly recommend the Anker Atom series. I have this on my desk and it's great
      https://www.amazon.com.au/Anker-Charger-4-Port-MacBook-Lapto…

      • Can the power cable on this one be taken off? (I.e changing to a non-AU plug when travelling)
        Thanks.

        • +2

second pic shows it can be detached

          • @fuzor: Yep I have one and can confirm.

          • @fuzor: sorry for not asking clearly - my question was about @bisaya's Anker 65W charger, not to OP's

        • +1

I'd say so and I plan on doing it when I go overseas. It's the standard number 8 plug and has 100-240v on it

      • +1

my fold 4 can't be charged with this anker one. very sad

        • +1

Yeah, looks like it excludes the faster charging options for Samsung devices from 2019/20 onwards which is a shame.

If it had an updated version with support and 65W charging (seemingly more common for laptops these days) I would jump on this.

      • Thanks heaps :)

Do you get problems with it heating up or being noisy? Or does it run reasonably smooth?

        • +1

No noise at all. Never noticed heating problems. I use it to charge my phone, watch, bluetooth speakers, headset etc.

I did try it for my laptop but it needed 65W so the 40W max on 1 port wasn't enough.

    • Yes, I use a few multi port chargers around the house. They're really useful.

      Satechi - I have a 165w that I've been using without issue.

Anker, Mophie ( though I don't know much about them).

  • my current setup, using the included individual cables and power supply included in the box.
Is using something like this better

Does one of these draw a lot of power like wireless chargers 10W input and 5W output

  • I have one of these. Has worked great for me, no issues.

Use it to power and charge a Lenovo laptop, and 2 ipad pros (simultaneously) and a spare USB A port for whatever else I need to charge.

And yes, the power cord does detach from the back of it.

  • This might be the "beside the couch" charger I need.

  • https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BBLMCM9X Alternative

156w for $99.99, gets down to 79.99 often
    60w + 60w + 18w + 18w (156w)
    100w + 18w + 18w (136w)

    • This one is better or just an alternative for more money?

Zyron sells rebranded GaN chargers from Aliexpress just like Heymix does, and neither of those companies would have a warranty experience close to what Belkin (or JB) offers.

Plenty of comments on Zyron posts here where OzBargainers (who bought from Zyron's own website, not Amazon) have received a charger that was DOA and they had to fight Zyron to even get it replaced.

I would steer clear of their products

        • Thanks heaps ! I was just about to pull the trigger but I’ll avoid these guys now .

        • +2

Belkin warranty isn't great. JB consumer law would be okay though.

        • This is false information. Zyron sells rebranded chargers like Belkin does, from reputed manufacturers. Claims of fight are false. There has been delays in replacements for a few, asap replacements for most, but never have I heard of any fights. Its over exaggerated. We have introduced chat function on website recently to mitigate the delays in warranty claims.

  • not belkins but i have been using these ADG ones for over an year, much more functionality including hub with ethernet and hdmi and universal travel adaptor.
    https://www.adgpowerhub.com/products/adg-100w-gan-9-in-1-usb…
Cherry on top they are 50% off so $70 at the moment. Not a bad deal even when including $14 bucks for international shipping.
    edit. thats in USD 🙅

    • some reviewers report this blowing up after 5 months of use. Would be wary if it even conforms to Aus standards.

  • What would I need for a Pixel 7? And a Laptop like a Mircosoft Surface?

  • +2

Again, don’t buy it, not a good product. Coil whine is pretty bad whit low current stuff like Apple Watch and it’s too heavy and gets very hot.

  • Ah nuts was just about to pull the trigger on the Mophie through digi direct - https://www.digidirect.com.au/mophie-gan-power-adaptor-usb-c…

  • Just wanted to put my 2c in since I got the charger today; the Belkin charger has been very good (I'm so relieved, given all the problematic backchat on the various GaN chargers on OzB).

    Happy to report:
    - No coil or whine noises.
    - It backpowers my Aten KVM switch successfully with PD3.0 (fully rated on all voltage requirements).
    - Power cable is insulated.
    - Very cool to the touch, not running hot at all (although I'm not using it to its fullest potential though as the 96/65W port isn't utilised).

I can now multiplex all my devices without any voltage switching dropouts! The 30W USB-C port was enough to run a RasPi Zero with its own a hub providing daisy-chained USB PD, a BD-Player, Stream Deck, Schiit DAC/Amp.

Both additional USB-A ports also fast charging an iPad and an iPhone … No issues at all.

    • One day usage might be a bit soon to put in your verdict?

  • +3

    It's cheaper at Amazon now $69.99 https://amzn.asia/d/hAQxwaH

  • This does not support PD 3.0/PPS so cannot do superfast charging 2.0 with S22 Ultra correct?

    • it does say on its amazon page :USB-C PD 3.0 charges a MacBook Pro from 0-50 percent in 39 mins or charge an iPad Air 3 from 0-50 percent in 39 mins and iPhone 12 Pro from 0-50 percent in 26 mins

    • Correct it doesn't have PPS. If you need PPS, check out my post here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/741437

  • Received mine today, the socket board soldered misaligned and the plug will upward a bit, also coil whine when using USB -A port.

    • I got mine off Amazon. An weird oscillating coil whine with a latitude 7390 on the main usb c, but nothing with a latitude 5289 on the same port. Returning it.
