      It would probably help if you listed all your stock at once instead of updating the quantity 48 times in 29 minutes.

        This is an API integration update from ebay to our integrator to shopify. All 200qty was listed from the begining but when the sales happen so quickly the integrator does not refresh fast enough to shopify and then the stock is updated in blocks.

          Once buyers entered the checkout page they had on average 36 seconds to enter their date of birth, apply coupon and payment information to complete the purchase or they would get the error message. It's refreshing too fast.

          I don't know what system you are using, but even the free Shopify integration app by eBay has options for maintaining separate quantities on Shopify and eBay so this sounds to me like a configuration issue. If you're using some paid 3rd party integration software then I'm sure you'll have even more advanced settings available to play with. If you're using the free eBay app then now would be a great time to start looking at alternatives as eBay is shutting it down at the end of the year and it will no longer function at all.

            @HomeAlone: It's not a configuration setting. We have explored this extensively with the eBay developers and Omnivore who are the integrator. We were receiving multiple orders a second at its peak. The servers can not refresh this quickly. To compensate approximately 10% more discounts were given then what was advertised as the limit.
