How about the price in the Banner - misleading

  • +2

Normally $188 or almost $8 a can wow.

  • 2 standard drinks?

Why would anyone blend premium whisky with Cola?

    Pepsi is where it's at.

      You spelled LA Ice wrong

    This does not seem cheap

  • Am I supposed to believe that people are paying $8 a can in a slab?

    • -2

if you do not believe apple fans pay over 2500 bucks for a phone then you do not believe they would pay $8 a can in slab, either.

  • not about this brand/product. why the hell is premix so bloody expensive here in australia? Tax??

      24 x 0.375 = 9 L
      9 x 0.08 = 0.72 L (720ml) 23st? brand Whisky
      9 - 0.72 = 8.28 L (Unknown brand cola)
I know this not the answer, but just maths
Like breeding a mule (this mix) from horse fluid (whisky) in a donkey womb (cola) at the backyard of the 23rd street!
but this is still much more expensive than breeding the mule!

      • you'd missed the calculated 720ml was pure alcohol, with a 43% whisky this would have to come from roughly 1670ml of whisky. so might make some sense for the high price?

        • Not miscalculated but I was not sure if it is the case. 23rd street knows.

  • Twords Sthree

    • i hate this logo so much that i wanted to see who else found it annoying. logo makes me so angry i want a drink, but not this..

$136 plus shipping is the discounted price? Christ.
To be fair, being high ABV a big portion of this cost would be going straight to government coffers, but still…

    • Well keep an eye out on kegland for you know what ;)

Premium product with ridiculous taxes. It's not a bargain that I feel I need to jump on - but it could well be worth it to people who like nice things now and then.

That being said, this product also shouldn't really exist. Don't mix nice whiskey with coke.

    48 standard drinks for $136.

I drink about 200ml Coke when I mix so I’d need 10l Coke for about $20.

So 48 drinks (excluding Coke) for $116.

I bottle of whisky is about 22 standard drinks but let’s say 24 for arguments sake.

That’s about $58 a bottle of whisky. Thats fairly average I guess?

    • Interesting. My knee jerk reaction felt otherwise, but yeah, perhaps not that bad..?

    • +1

I did the exact same thing , thought it was ridiculous , priced out a bottle of spirit to can ratio and realised it was average
