  Is this R7 16GB worth it? Haven't really researched Surface devices, mainly Dell and Lenovo's. And this is at my budget too, though ports etc are lacking however portability wise seems great. What's the diff between Intel and Ryzens with the Surface?

    between the same surface laptops , the ryzens run longer. i had the laptop4 R5 / 16 for a while. pretty impressive, so the R7 / 16would be better.
    
    your limitation is the 256gb, which isn't a lot after cramming in o365 and other things considered.
