  • This is a Logitech Brio. Normally like $299 RRP.

I have one and it is very good!

    • yeah same, I like mine, however I wish it could swivel! (unless it can and I've completely missed how it's done)

  • This is one of the few name brand webcams available in normal shops that supports Windows Hello for authentication. I've been playing with some AliExpress webcams that are basically ripped out of dead laptops and Windows Hello is great for securing password managers and remote desktop managers that you want to lock on a timeout, but you don't want to type the password to unlock all the time.

    Seriously tempting.

  • I have this at home and it is great. I am getting the Lenovo one recently posted which also has Windows Hello but at a quarter of the price. Will be interesting to see which one works best for Windows Hello. Typing in passwords/pins is for suckers :D

    • My internal laptop camera has windows hello. It looks in and works like a champion.

But the video quality papers in comparison to my brio.

Many times I’ll be on a teams call and people often ask what kind of camera I have because it’s so clear( when using the brio)

I've been using the Lenovo 510 for a month or so now for Windows Hello and it's been faultless.

  • Anyone got it working through an USB-C to USB-C cable?

Tried a few different USB-C cables, no go. There's something about the Logitech cable not being conventional.

I guess an USB-A to C adapter will likely work, but would prefer a native cable.

    • Yep. I tend to buy Fasgear cables or Ugreen from Amazon. They work perfectly.

      • Any particular specifications? I tried the USB-C cable for display and power, no go.

      • Turns out it's the laptop, tried another laptop and USB-C works fine.

It seems USB-C on older laptops, probably due to earlier versions of UBS-C, can only do video and DP.

Newer ones can work with peripherals, such as webcam and keyboard/mouse, etc.

glad you figured it out. I was just about to post the link to the cable I bought, but you've got it sorted.
