For those PS5 users out there looking for a high rated headset JB have this on sales as part of their Black Friday deals. I needed a new pair after loosing my Sony Pulse 3D's and this was the best price I have found after looking around, Amazon still selling for $393 at time of writting. I know not as cheap as the older 7P's, but come with USB-C and larger battery etc.
SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ Wireless Headset with USB-C $293.30 + Delivery ($0 C&C/In-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

What price you expecting the Nova to come in at?
Hoping for around 250-270 range.
Not sure if it helps but the Nova Pro is on sale (or it was the other day) for $580ish on Amazon.
my budget is $200-250.
I am looking for a headset that can connect to both Xbox and PC. Turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 max is currently on sale. But i prefer the steelseries one slightly more.
how so? I'm juggling between this one and the 700 gen 2 max as well. can't make up my mind yet. reviews seem to favour the 700 gen 2 max but I like the look of this one more. what's your opinion?
@dlngu1709: Both are great headsets. But I have a large head and i prefer headsets with lighter clamping force. also, the Turtle beach one is about 50gms heavier. And it lacks 3.5 mm connectivity in case i need to use it for some reason.
How do you lose gaming headphones 😳
My son was not well as we went on holidays so I took the PS5 and headset away with us, and the headset didn't make it back :-)
Bought a pair of these a few months ago for $299 and have been very impressed with the audio quality and the microphone quality is far superior to the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless that I had bought and returned prior to these.
Only complaint I have for them is that the volume is adjusted with a dial rather than buttons and it is super easy to bump the dial when adjusting the headset and throw your levels out.
Agree with you MHXVX. Upgrade from the 3D Pulse Sony PS5 headset to this and it was well worth it. The microphone is so much better and the sound is amazing. I honestly was picking up sounds that I didn't hear before, it was that much clearer and precise.
The dials can be annoying, as you definitely bump them taking on and off the headset. Also the headset doesn't swap the sound automatically when turning it on/off, so you have to manually do it in the PS5 quick bar menu, but once you get used to doing it, it's not that bad.
Everything else makes up for those two small annoyances though, very much recommend getting this headset.
Yeah the fact that you have to manually swap audio outputs on the PS5 is definitely another downside to the headset, but the HyperX wireless ones I had purchased prior also had this same issue, so I assume this is just an issue with any USB dongle headsets that aren't official Sony ones?
I have never had this much trouble looking for a gaming headset , every review I watch shows pros and cons and still sitting on the fence on which to buy , I’ll be using it mainly for pc
What are you tossing up between?
I want something that can switch between primairly PC to my Xbox
These would be good in the 7X or the 9X, idealy Acrtis Pro but they are so expensive its a joke.
I almost jumped at the Astro A50's last month and now I am kicking myself that I didnt becasue they didnt drop as low during BF sales
I picked up some Pro’s on Amazon the other day, still expensive but they were down to $580.
I laughed at my friend when he pre-ordered them at $550 or something like that… now I know who is wearing the egg
This headset is great.
We got one for our PS5 several months ago to replace the Sony Pulse 3D headset we had….what a POS that thing is.
Waiting for SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X deals.
