Oh No $1.00 dearer than last year.

  • Saw this email come through and realised I had $7 ‘rewards credits’ I’d forgotten about - immediately bought.

Black Friday sales off to a great start!

  • Not having a striker plate/ through tang makes them much less useful.

    I'd just get https://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-3-piece-chisel-set_p5…
In fact I have them and they hold up ridiculously well under constant abuse.

    • Full tang definitely

      • How quickly would they start to fail if I used them with a hammer with no tang? I rarely use a chisel without a hammer in my diy stuff.

    • Craftright? My experience with that brand is not good. Junk stuff.

    • Agreed however for $15 they're decent value as a secondary set.

    • How quickly would they start to fail if I used them with a hammer with no tang? I rarely use a chisel without a hammer in my diy stuff.

      • Depends on what you use them for. I use the Craftright set as my second set for all the dirty stuff, prying and cleaning mortar out of a corner aso. I really abuse then and sharpen them with an angle grinder every month or so.. so no fine work.

This kind of use takes heavy pounding and those really shity looking Craftright have lasted for like 3 years.

With all plastic head I don't think they would last a year in my use case.

If you use them only on softwood/pine then it might last you years and years.

  • Ahhh remember grabbing these last year for the occasional DIY project~ Solid set.

Also remember someone else in the store grabbing a tonne of the bonus knives too. xD

just bought it for the knife

    • I use any cheap box knife with these blades https://amzn.asia/d/fWoeHGW they are sharp and last along time and they cut through things like butter.

      • They should , for this price 🫣 $3/ blade?

I find Fiskars blades, at about $1 per blade from Bunnings are good enough for me. Maybe even 10x better than craftright blades at 10 cents

Glad I saw these though, takes the pain out of buying Fiskars

    $10 shipping kills the deal…

Looks like Mitre10, Home hardware, & Trade Tools all have the same(ish) price.

    • Bonus utility knife makes this a deal given it alone costs somewhere around $10. Can't tell you if its worth $10 bucks though.

  • no stock at nearest c&c and $10 shipping no deal

  • Pick my order today at Malaga, good stuff, good buy, good price. Normal price $49.95, what a bargain.
