My first deal guys. I think it's a good price for a stainless steel knife set. Good Luck

Agreed. This is Baccarat level mystery steel with a brand name slapped on it. Apparently they're quite soft, dull easily and the set doesn't even come with a sharpening steel. Not a bargain for what it is.

Does anyone have recommendations for a knife block to hold various large kitchen knives? Been looking for a while. My wife is unhappy with the pointy ends shredding the draw they are currently stored in. Nb: She has already rejected my idea of a magnetic wall mounted knife strip.
Depending on how many and how thick your knives are, I have this works well for us along with holding some extra cooking utensils:

This JJ one is on sale though, for a drawer type - I have no experience with this one:

Very happy, and easy to look after.
Thanks everyone for the ideas, after going down a few rabbit holes I’m getting this: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BHSRH2PK?ref_=ppx_hzod_title_…
I wouldn't. Looks like a fingerprint magnet…
No bargain here, no evidence it's ever regularly sold at full price, this is another rip-off along the lines of the lines of the sales at "House"
Knife blocks are always poor value - you're much better off buying the individual knives you actually want to use, from a professional knife brand (Victorinox, f.dick, etc) not a generic "design" label selling cheap stainless at insane markups.
Good steel is advertised: if it just says Japanese or German, then they're too ashamed to actually name what it is.
Also I think it's cheaper at Myer at the moment.
Spend a little more and get this https://www.victoriasbasement.com.au/p/global-nagoya-5pc-kni…
Picked one up myself. You'll also get $20 off first order >$200 making it $189 which is a steal. Was weighing up between these and Tojiro, but decided on Global as we aren't the best at looking after knives at home and they do get beat around a little. So for a little more chip resistance with the slightly softer steel, this was the go. These are crazy sharp though. Sliced through whole watermelon like butter. Much better than our previous Furi knives.
Mmm nah
