My dentist said I should try a water flosser because I can't floss if my life depended on it, and recommended this brand to me so I started keeping an eye out for deals on Waterpik's cordless models. This looked like a very good price as this "Advanced" model is almost the same as the "Select" model that's currently on sale for $99 at Shaver Shop and also Amazon. I also noticed that this was previously on sale at Amazon Prime for $103.53, but this time it does not require Prime membership to claim this deal.

Just copy pasting Amazon product description here rather than clumsily writing my own:

The Waterpik Cordless Advanced Water Flosser is the most advanced cordless Water Flosser. This rechargeable unit with NiMH battery has a 4-hour rapid magnetic charging system and portable design that is perfect for travel. With 3 pressure settings, the Cordless Advanced allows you to personalize your water pressure with low, medium and high options. Plus it is waterproof and can be used in the shower. You can also add your favorite mouthwash. The water reservoir holds 207 ml for 45 seconds of flossing time. Includes 2 Classic Jet Tips (JT-100E) for general use, 1 Plaque Seeker Tip (PS-100E) for use with dental implants and other dental work, 1 Orthodontic Tip (OD-100E) for cleaning around braces, Travel Bag, Travel Plug, Tip Storage Case, Magnetic Charger with AU plug (100-240VAC, 50/60Hz). • My dentist said come and get flossed with me every 6 months for free with my health insurance

    • +1

Haha that's what I thought too, but she recommended I floss much more regularly than my current once a week if I didn't want to lose my teeth before I'm retired.

    • Gotta get something for all those $1000s on PHI :(

  • +3

Considering I spent yesterday afternoon pulling the bathroom apart because the water pick my son uses had been slowly leaking water through the cabinets for a couple of weeks with no one noticing, a new one is a pretty good idea. Purchased, thanks :-)

    • Well done for instilling good dental hygiene to your kids from a young age- they will thank you for the efforts 😉

These are a fad. My dentist said they are good for gum health, but to still floss because water pressure doesn't always remove objects inbetween teeth. But the the dentist said it better than not doing anything at all.

If they have braces, water picks are a huge, huge deal. As advised by dentists, orthodontists and hygienists. Huge numbers of kids end up with stained teeth after braces due to the difficulty of keeping them clean, water picks are a game changer (where they are used regularly, of course).

      • Still should be flossing where you can, or using normal picks for the harder areas.

I hate flossing with a passion so going to get this, because its better than nothing

  • Literally just bought this. Good deal

  • What's the difference between Advanced version and normal?

Was really looking at getting the normal today but happy to get educated.

  • Thanks OP.
Didn't like the plug in bench version with power and water cable tangles, setup etc. Great device but I never used because it was cumbersome.
Happy to give this one a crack in the shower seems way nicer experience
